HOLY MOLY!! What a build. What a car!! I had to look up the code just to see the MSRP. You better keep it forever. And your kids better be fighting about who you'll leave it to in your will. This car will be epic!

Default Targa GTS

I was trying to find a box that wasn't checked! Couldn't do it. 191K. Congrats on finding a build slot and customizing your dream car. Keep us posted, and DON'T let them drill front license plate holes for the EU delivery!!!! Tape it on or use the tow hook or whatever. No holes!

That's an awesome car. I'm curious to see the PTS color!

Is it really that hard to get an allocation now??? I put down a deposit a few weeks back on a C2 GTS Cab and they said MAYBE they could get an allocation but lets put get a deposit and put it in the system-see what happens. No promises. I am on the fence on whether I want a 991 anyway so I almost didn't want "good news." So a week or so later I get an email saying how lucky I am and how hard it was to pry an allocation from Porsche. I honestly thought it was all BS sales tactics. So now I have a Nov allocation and December delivery on a MY2016.

That car is definitely a keeper!

The color appears to be a Maserati/Ferrari color that's dark grey metallic.

Holy smokes, quite the car. Odd that it is so hard to get an allocation with sales down.

Great build, I'm looking forward to seeing some photos when you get it. Especially that color combo, it should look beautiful. And that's a lot of leather!

I wish that I had checked the box for the PCCBs if only to avoid brake dust!

Thank you very much.

The color is a Maserati color. It is a charcoal gray color. At first I wanted a different color, but the 9 month wait to approve a new color would have put the production of this car into late November. And according to Porsche at that time, they intended to discontinue the Garnet Red leather. (I do not know if that still holds true). The nice thing about Maserati colors is that the factory uses larger than usual silver metallic flakes. This should tie in vey well with the silver Targa roll bar.

Regarding allocations, I believe it is difficult to get a Targa GTS allocation. The other models seem to be still available. At the time none of the Porsche dealerships in southern California were able or willing to get me a Targa GTS allocation.

And no, I do not have every option. I could easily add another 10 to 20k to the price of the car.
