+1 on all of the comments. The SwitchPath is a ridiculously good system for our cars. I had it installed on my GTS earlier this year and couldn't be happier. A couple of tips (no pun intended):

1. Removing the AWE tips and using the stock tips causes a reduction in drone *and* volume. We had this discussion in a thread a while ago, and while I guess it should be obvious since the AWE tips are larger and shaped differently, the sound difference is easy to hear. I don't mind having 10% less volume and less drone, but it was an interesting change when I went back to stock tips!

2. This system really is almost as quiet as stock when the valves are closed. It still blows my mind that the side mufflers perform so well in silencing the exhaust. Hung over from the previous night? See a cop up ahead? Don't want to wake the dead? Valves closed, and voila.

Realistically speaking, how drony would this be, let's say 7th gear 1.5-2k rpm ?

I know it's really not meant for that, and you can close the valves and what not, but to be honest i drive the car in sport plus not 99 but literally 100% of the time and no-PSE either so no button for valves. Just wondering if this kind of system would force me to go back to comfort mode on long drives, all of them is fairly spirited driving.

I've had the AWE for a year now and 5000 miles, I love it!!! Drone is very light when under 25000 rpms. Usually I just close the valves when on the highway.
And yes with AWE tips it's louder...so I kept them

It all depends on the model 991.2 you have. There are three different factory exhaust setups.

1. Base Non-PSE equipped
2. S Non-PSE equipped
3. PSE equipped

Which model do you have? I'd be happy to explain how your system works and how we can take it up a notch
