Did a search but can't find a good answer: is there a quick way to detail the top (targa/cab) to remove bird crap? Can I use a quik detailer solution? I don't want to order another product such as the convertible top cleaner if I can help it for now.

Thanks LexVan, I'll try the distilled water for now. It's probably about a week old but the car is only 5 months in.

You waited too long. But at least the factory coating is still good. Only lasts about 2 years depending in rain and sun exposure.

Don't use any soap. Try water first. Certainly no detailer spray wax.

I suspect you might need to do the RaggTopp kit. Yours will be easy because the Targa top is pretty small.

Update this post. I'll walk you through the RaggTopp if we need to go that route.

Next time, wash the bird droppings as soon as discovered. Even if you have to stop and by a bottle of Fuji water and a soft toothbrush.

I used to keep a spray bottle of distilled water in the frunk for bug and bird droppings. But I've mellowed over the years and obseese less. It's not easy being me.
