Default Which seats do you prefer?

I have just put in an order for a 991 Carrera-S coupe with 18 way Adaptive Sport Seats.

The 14 way Sport Seats on my present 991 Carrera (and in previous Boxsters) put pressure on my shoulder at the point where the bolster is seamed. This is very uncomfortable, especially when both hands are in the driving position on the wheel, and is one of the main reasons I ordered the new car with 18 way seats.

I have read that the 18 way seats become uncomfortable after driving for a while.
Has anyone experienced this with their 18 way seats?

The 18 ways sure seem more comfortable to me when sitting in them at the dealer, and on short drives.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Have driven over 14 hours (3 refuelling stops) using the 18 way adaptive sport seats and it was pretty comfortable. I'm trying to decide on these seats versus the LWB's for a new purchase.......

Cheers,

The plain, basic sport seat is what I have and I can drive for seemingly days in it. I'm 5'9", 165lbs.

I have the 14 way in my 911 and 18 in the Macan.. Wish I had the 18 in the Macan. The 18 is very adjustable and if you are not comfortable, then push a button..

I can get comfortable in any seat including the carbon buckets. I ordered a 2016 911 with the base 4 way seats. I drove 911s with the 14 and 18 way seats and was alway fidgeting with the adjustments. They reminded me of the Sleep Number bed I returned. I was always adjusting the settings thinking harder/softer would be better. Never was. Drove me crazy and I drove my wife crazy. Returned the bed and bought a mattress from Costco. Never slept better. The base seats are fine with me.

By the number of buttons on the control panel at the side. There are a "lot" on the 18 way seats.

Same here, easily the most comfortable car seats I've used to date. Short or long drives, they are perfect.

Grunty- The 18 way seats have a wider bolster at the shoulders and higher thigh bolsters.
Also more buttons as Bishop200 said

LoL, telling him 18s have "wider, higher, or more" of something only helps if he also has a set of 14s to compare them to.
