Have a 3 year old and need a seat for a 991.2 cab. I was thinking Graco slim fit unless anyone else has better suggestions? Front passengers will be between 5'4 and 5'10.

Did you guys take out the little pad that has the anchor symbols on it that is held in by velcro (small rectangle in between bottom and back rest), or leave it in. i removed the back rest today.

If you're using the LATCH anchors you need to remove it. Otherwise, personal preference I suppose?

Yeah I was using latch and decided to leave it out, so all good thanks! My little one loved her first ride in "daddy's awesome car" 😄

For the European owners, it looks like Britax Roemer Advansafix IV seat fits well. https://www.britax-roemer.com/car-se...iv-r/9006.html

Anyone know if there are any issues importing car seats from Europe to the US?

I ordered them from Germany kidsroom.de and they arrived in 3 weeks to California.

I bought one of the new rodifix seats but for tall kids (48”) almost 5 year old once you raise the headrest to meet their heads it hits the c pillar and ***** the seat sideways.

Still using the cheapo cosco highback booster which works great, just wanted something with more side head support.

I have the same issue/concern with bottom only boosters in general back there. My two kids (almost 6 y/o and 4.5 y/o) heads are above the rear seats if in a bottom booster - unlike other cars the Porsche doesn’t have head supports in the rear. I had the Graco slim fits back there previously. However their heads are at the roof in those now, the roof being the limiting factor in using those car seats fully. What I did, I took off the seatbelt tether strap (the piece with the red clip to snug the seatbelt to the shoulder) from the bottom booster. I looped it around the latch point on the Porsche - same as if it’s looped/connected to the rear of the booster. Both sit in the rear now with heads below the top of the rear seat and fully secured in with the shoulder belt snug across chest. I am going to try using a couple towels under their butts/legs next for a little elevation. This should snug the lap belt a little further. This is no different than an armless booster - yet keeps their heads below the seat top.

I too have a Cybex Aton 2 for the 991. I found that if you use the base, the front seat is usable, but the occupant can't be very tall 5'5" depending on bone density , and they're not very comfortable. However, if you remove the Latch base, and instead use the seat-belt alone, you can make the front passenger much more comfortable. I took some measurements. Hopefully others find this info valuable. FYI - I did not remove the rear seat backrest, though i did remove the "LATCH" cover. Since the baby seat encounters the back seat, below the backrest itself, as opposed to above it, it doesn't seem to potentially benefit from removing the rear seat back rest.

I took some pictures:

with base - side view
with base - height measurement - front view

without base - side view
without base - height measurement - front view

Just bought a 991.2 GTS. Been reading through the thread and seen a few options that could work for my soon to be 2 year old who will move to front facing seat.

anything new on the market ppl have used that worked well? I see graco slim fit and maxi corsa pria as the choices on the thread

Pico WAYB fits extremely well, with a ton of room. My almost 3yr old daughter said it was comfortable, although I didn't feel like she looked like she was(sits more straight up). Anyway, she fell asleep on the 20min cruise the other day. I want to have her get some more ride time in this seat before I make a commitment to buy another one for my other daughter. She is currently in a Britax Marathon Clicktight, which I cannot recommend enough. (I own 8 of these total) This fits well, but the passenger seat does get a little tight on legroom.
