HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
#2416
Thanks STG!
Sealed the deal last night on a 14 C2S. White on black, 8K miles. The wife and I are flying up from Atlanta to NJ on Friday to take delivery and drive back home over the weekend. I wanted to give a shout out to STG and everyone else who participates in this thread for providing me the ammunition needed to negotiate a deal I felt was fair. The car was not CPO'd as listed, but I was able to get them to CPO the car with me paying half the costs. I ended up getting the car at $34,500 off of MSRP. I have always had a soft spot for the aerokit cup. I realize it's not everyone's "cup" of tea, but I love it... The only "must have" option it does not have is PSE, but I can easily add it over the next couple of months. Clear LED sides are sitting on the salesman's desk to be put on right after tomorrow's cleanup. Looking forward to Friday and the long drive home this weekend! Full report on Monday after we get back.
Thanks again STG and all the other Hot Sale contributors!!!

Another happy Hot For Sale customer. Been looking for a 991 for ~4 months and while I didn't find my car in the thread - I did find Gene @ Porsche Atlanta Perimeter. Deposit is in and now the waiting begins. Landed a solid and fair deal - really happy w/ experience so far. Will post a more detailed write up once I take delivery. Build sheet below - also adding PSE prior to shipping.

Beautiful car! I'm a sucker for the Sport Design and Aerokit Cup packages. Great deal too and nice job pushing for that CPO!
I love hearing stories like this. Like you mentioned, you've been able to get educated on the whole buying process and state of the market here which is great. That's what it's all about.
Another point being, that you won't most likely find your dream car in town. The market is the whole USA. Shipping a car enclosed coast to coast can be done for $2K
Look at all the new purchases over the past 7 days here!
San Diego ~ bought in TX
Atlanta ~ bought in FL
Atlanta ~ bought in NJ
Tony ~ in TX, bought in Atlanta, and shipping to CT!
Many stories of these remote purchases nice road trips!

Another lesson, SHOP around.
Long story. Car is at dealer for some upgrades, etc. I usually order all my own parts and just bring them to the dealer.
Forgot to order (8) wiring harnesses. The dealer quoted me $75.00 each when Porsche retail is $59.33. My preferred parts supplier, Sunset Porsche Parts in Oregon quoted me $38.62 each!!
I'm buying them from Sunset and shipping them to my local service advisor! Their parts counter said they'd only be making around $7.00 each at $38.62. Oh well, not my issue.
I've saved thousands of dollars by shopping around on parts.

Suncoast in FL does a nice job as well. Have had great service from them. They have a very nice website with lots of pics unlike Sunset. They are pretty close in price, but Sunset is usually more competitive.

Similar names! Two different dealers. Both full brick and mortar Porsche dealers. Not always the best car prices, but have taken the parts business seriously and have done well.
Always, check your local Porsche parts counter too. Give them a chance to meet their price. It's worked for me on occasion. Some dealers are obviously better than others.

I feel like calling the dealer and yelling at them. What are you thinking?

If you were forced to choose one?

Your choice of SHOUTING or drunken.
Irony is everyone will be swooning when the factory makes the large PORSCHE an actual option.
FWIW I don't totally hate the big lettering - if it's done right. Reminds me of the 944 insert panel offered by the aftermarket back in the day.

So rather than making $7 a unit they decided the better option was to make $0. That's how to run a business!!

Took 7 months to hit 100K, and now at almost 12 months we're at 300K. I can't find the date of 200K views. I had posted it. Picking up big momentum.
I won't keep up with the count after we hit #1 and maybe hit a 1,000,000
Thanks to all the lurkers, buyers, contributors, and "hot for sale" alumni.
