Good looking car, nice build ( I like manual slicktops), but especially with Carmax cars, condition is everything.

Even with a clean carfax, I've seen Porsche after Porsche at Carmax that had obvious, fair-to-poor paintwork done. Others have scored decent cars, but based on my personal experience, they were either lucky exceptions and/or went to less picky buyers.

It is low if you are a prospective seller and high if you are a prospective buyer.

When a buyer ask "what is a fair price?" He means what is the lowest I can steal it for.

As for the CarMax car, I think it is ok. There used to be a time when you can find nicely optioned CarMax cars at non option prices. But I think they wised up

Probably most of us spend far too much time looking for the "deal" and not paying a little more for the right car. Sometimes we get lucky, but not super often.

I have seen a couple 911s in the past 2 months at CM that were only listed for an hour or so. They were priced well: great options at close to wholesale. The ones we see here often aren't the best deals, as those get snapped up by people "watching" with alerts. There was a manual 2013 with tons of sport options, C2S, 27,000 miles listed for $62,500 in Duarte a few months ago: it was reserved immediately. There was a 997.1 Slate Grey turbo manual for $70k and 40,000 miles in Florida: again, booked in a flash. I think the deals are still out there, but you have to be fast. Who knows if those cars were clean or dogs however, but if clean, they were a good deal!

I tried to buy 2 987.2 Cayman S manuals from Carmax. Both were priced very well (and manual CS 987.2 aren't easy to find anyways) and both were reserved within 30 minutes of them going live. Both had 50k miles and were priced at $32,000, which is a very good deal for a manual. There are deals to be had there; another one was listed F/S at a Merc dealer in Georgia for $33,000 and 37k miles (full leather, aftermarket exhaust, PCA sticker in the window): I talked to the sales guy, who said I could have it and that he was going to send pics. I didn't hear back, and left several messages. Finally, I called the dealership and complained when I heard the car had sold to someone else. The GM called me back and said "I apologize, but that car was already sold when you called yesterday. It went up Thursday night and we had 10 calls by 11am Friday morning. The phone won't stop ringing; I have to get it off the site!".

Getting a car like that is right place-right time luck.

Selling my 2015 Carrara White Metallic Carrera GTS (2 wheel drive) , 14k miles in San Francisco

https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AB2A91FS124573/

PDK, Comfort access, 20" Carrera S Wheels, Leather Interior in Black,
ParkAssist (Front and Rear) with Reversing Camera
651 Electric slide/tilt sunroof
714 Deletion of Alcantara®
748 Power folding side mirrors
844 Multifunction steering wheel
AZ Leather interior in Black

P06 Power Sport Seats (14-way) with Memory Package
P3E Premium Package Plus i.c.w. Power Sport Seats (14-way)
P3H BOSE® Audio Package

It's been ceramic coated and I've upgraded the taillights to clear. I am the second owner and this has a clean carfax. The passenger rear has been repainted by previous owner due to scratches, but all panels are original. The bumper has a tiny dent next to the driver rear taillight. Otherwise, the car is in great shape. Looking to sell it for 88K. PM me with any questions, thanks. Goign to take it to a broker soon and tats the price they offered. I just figured someone here could enjoy it instead of a broker.

Nice car...it would be helpful if you posted window sticker, build sheet, and or VIN. I wasn't even able to tell whether it was PDK or MT. Photos of the interior would also be helpful.

Slicktop manual w/o a bunch of weighty options, looks like a decent price for the buyer who wants performance minded option choices but you can probably get more options for the same cost if you want that stuff. I paid less for my $126k PDK in 10/18 w/56k miles on it, for data reference.
There are too many variables between build options, seller's situation and available inventory at any given time to make buying these type of cars anything too analytic.
Go with what you want for a price close to what is online everywhere and don't look back.
