If selling FSBO, I would say you'd at least get your $$ back for the CPO and put you on a level playing field with Porsche dealer inventory. Even if it got you $2K more, the car has a better and faster chance of selling. No brainer I'd say.

First time 911 buyers get very nervous buying these cars without some sort of warranty. The car is much more marketable the longer the remaining warranty.

Please keep us posted and good luck

Hey folks! Have a question re: the HFS thread. I am considering selling my car vs trading, but having a tough time pinpointing value/a reasonable listing price. My plan to start with is to get a paid membership to RL and sell in the classifieds here, and then also post a link to that ad here in the HFS thread.

I didn't know what the rules may be on posting in the HFS thread asking input on value, etc. I don't want anyone to think I am "fishing", so I may need to go ahead and just get a paid membership anyway. I thought HFS would be the better place than posting a new thread in the 991 forums. If it's ok to post here, I'll gladly post more details and a copy of the build sheet. Just didn't want to stray too far outside any potential forum rules. Thanks!

Thanks! I tried PMing you, but it says you no longer accept PMs. You were a big help when I purchased the car back in August 2016.

It's a 2014 C2S CPO w/34k miles currently. CPO intact until 3/2020 or 100k miles. New black headlights replaced under warranty in April due to UV coating flaking off, along with new Michelin P4S 245 front and 305 rear in April as well. Can get exact mileage on new tires if needed.

Here are a few pictures and the build sheet-

Excuse me while i wipe my drool. What tint percentages? I've had 55% windshield tint on previous vehicles and will likely do that again. That looks almost like 35% all the way around.

CPO until 3/2020 or 100k miles.

Looks like a really nice build. Full sport design package with ducktail, 18-way seats, satin wheels. I'm sure it would go quickly if priced right.

(PS: Do you have limo tint on the windshield? Hope the headlights are really bright!)

Here's the build sheet so folks don't have to click through to the pdf (tip: save the build sheet as a jpg then upload it, then it's placed inline rather than a click-link)

...and as for value: IMHO with a private sale, if you target $3K-$5K over trade in value you would likely get a buyer. If you target $10K over trade in value, or about as much as dealers are asking, it will likely sit.

A few of y'all might have noticed I've been less active for the past 6 weeks. I traded in my nicely optioned GR/BLK Leather CPO 2015 991.1 C2S with 9970 miles on it for a new 2017 991.2 C2S Endurance Racing Edition, one of 73 imported to the US, and 235 worldwide.
I got a really HFS price, and my X51 Power Kit is already being shipped to my local dealer here in Westmont, IL for installation soon. I've already added PPF and 70% ceramic tint on all windows with top tint added on the windshield tint. In a happy camper and will be even happier after my X51 Power Kit is installed. 😃

For your data points, after shopping nationally and coming up with my best price for a new one, my local dealer matched that and gave me $80k for my trade. My 2015 had PPF and 70% ceramic tint on all windows since new. The PPF was showing some road rash, so they removed it, detailed it and put it on their lot at $87.5k. It looked like brand new and soon sold to a guy from AZ for near $85k, with 9970 miles and CPO warranty till 3/18/2021.

35% on the windshield and 20% on everything else. No issues seeing out at night, the car stays cool (carbon ceramic) and if you forget your sunglasses at home on a bright sunny day, no problem! At least not while driving! lol

Thank you! I LOVE the car, and it was exactly what I was looking for when I found it, including the no sunroof, just have some other irons in the fire with a 69 Camaro build, getting married in November, and will be back in a P-car ASAP. We still have my fiancé's 2018 Macan GTS in the garage to scratch the P-car itch until then!

See above response re: tint. No limo tint lol

Agreed. I just know sometimes KBB, etc can be off. I just want to know what everyone thinks is a fair price to list it at. I'm not looking to take anyone's head off, but not looking to give it away either. I'd like to land somewhere that is truly fair for myself and a buyer without a bunch of back and forth. Hence my post in the thread!

All things considered, I'd list around $76K and feel out the market and get best offers.

Find a good body shop with the factory stencil, and put rear badge back on too.

Dealer trade in would be sub $70K

I don't have PM's on anymore. Been too busy with life and not much free time. What little I do, would like to contribute here.

Refresh my memory, what dealer did it come from??

Nice way to skate around a $$

Good info and advice though!

You still working on the 991 deal?

Thanks! That's around the number I had in my head.

It came from Porsche of New Orleans as a lease trade in. They were the original seller, then sold it to me as CPO when it came back in off lease. It had 12k miles when I bought it in August 2016.

Default Any special value in a 2015 C4S vs lease buyout?

Hi:
i have a leased 2015 911 C4S. Equiped with most performance options but not leather. List was about $133k. It’s dark blue, PDK and is wrapped in front, doors and halfway up the rear quarter panel. Car is pretty perfect with 21,000 miles. Runs perfectly.
My lease has a $75k buyout. What do these sell for in the current market?
Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks.
popspin

ps: STG - I tried messaging you but it seems you have shut off your receipt of PM’s.
