People keep saying paint metering.... You cannot do this on a plastic bumper. Only on metal.

I check out the Carfax that Tim emailed me when I was inquiring about it and it was sold from Porsche of the Main Line back in July.

Actually there are non-destructive coating thickness meters that work on plastic and fiberglass... Just a bit less common and kind of pricey. they use ultrasound instead of variation in magnetic force.

2016 Base 991
WP0AA2A98GS106270
Lightly optioned manual.
Guards red over black with a black glass roof.
Just over 1,000 miles.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...e-911-carrera/

Looks like it was listed on renlist and sold by a dealer eight months and ~1,000 miles ago for something south of $78K
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...130-miles.html

Evidently the spoiler is broken
Just to close the loop, car sold today on BAT, $72,500 + 5% buyers premium, or $76,125, plus presumably another $1,000+ shipping unless the buyer is local.

Yes, late model and low miles, but I think that is all the money then some for a very lightly optioned base car, especially with no PPI or CPO.

I’m with you on this one. I could not believe what this car sold for. Mid $60’s and I would have been in the race. But this is just madness. Anyway, it is what it is and I assume that both buyer and seller are happy. When people comment on BAT prices, they seem to forget the 5% buyers premium and shipping cost.

I could give a rip if a plastic bumper cover was replaced. I want to know if steel or aluminum parts were repaired/replaced...Careful visual inspections and paint thickness measurements on metal parts can find that sort of damage history...

They are asking $100K for this car???
That is just crazy!!
I would put this car at $85-87 based on condition, which presumably should be nice, since it is low mileage.

One to watch. Nice car with price drops upcoming I’m sure. Let it sit for a 1-2 months and I’d start throwing offers for upper $80’s/$90K. Geez, one can make an offer anytime. They may not be too motivated with a new listing right away.

[QUOTE=vagluv;14540858]Back to HFS! A couple new ones today:

WP0AB2A97DS122985
https://www.bmwrockville.com/used/Po...c11454890a.htm
Basalt 4S PDK with good options. $76354. 12314 miles. No pics, and I bet it won't be listed long enough for them to post.

Nice find. Pix are up and still for sale. IMO, pretty HOT for C4S with under 13k miles. Understand more of a lux than performance build but look at pricing of other C4S and this is loss leader. Local to me (and Rockville Porsche is across street so PPI would be easy), so if anyone interested happy to look it over.

I know P of N had a Sapphire Blue C2 back in Aug for 70,899. I tried to work a deal but they didn't budge and said it was going to auction the following week.

Fast forward to now and look what AT pulled up. Now it's up 78,880 and slathered with Armor All

That doesn't make any sense! Why would they auction it off? Auctions cost money, and I bet EBB paid $65k plus transport if they are listing it for $78k. Why didn't the Porsche dealer sell it to you for $67k? EBB is all the way across the country. To prove a point? I had a similar experience last year with Porsche Gaudin. They had a 2013 manual C2 in Aqua with 27k miles, CPO, for $62,500. Wheels were aftermarket crap, and I wanted them to put OEM Wheels on there; I would pay an extra $1k for the wheels, and I didn't care whether they were new or used, or give me the car for $61,500. They wouldn't budge. Instead, they auctioned off the car, and the car was for sale the next week for $62,900. What did they get on auction, $54k? Why send a car to auction unless you positively have to because it has a salvage title or you have no hope of selling it, especially when a buyer is willing to pay you several thousand more than auction value

It has sport seats at least. Add lowering springs, Gundo Hack, and SC for $2500 and you have the performance options that matter. STill a great deal, unless you hate the color.
