It is certainly worth to wait for the right car. I ended up finding one from a private seller. 3yrs. old but less than 2k miles, which was in pristine shape, clear bra, not one single scratch or ding. And I probably got it for $10k less than I would have paid for at the dealer with higher mileage.

The point is the right deals are out there, you just need to be patient and keep looking at all websites...

I appreciate the advice from this forum, it's easy to get frustrated looking for that Goldilocks car.

Still eyeing this car:

I want to buy locally--what is a good HFS price for this car?

102k?

We interrupt this slow programming evening to present you with a drool-worthy Arena Red GT3 for sale (I know, wrong forum).

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...-for-sale.html

This has been an emergency test of your loyalty to the HFS 991.1 quest. This is only a test. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

That GT3 is simply amazing. My favorite 991 ever and if I hadn't just bought mine a few months back I would sell both of my kidneys to acquire it. Love the rims and plate too. GLWS!

Holy blank buttons. Beautiful exterior. These guys don't know their base or S models.

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...170k-msrp.html
Dealer states pads are at 90 percent and that the pads were previously replaced at 800 mile intervals due to excessive noise, not track use. Take that for what you will (I would call the original servicing dealer, Byers in Columbus, and ask for more info though.)

Just passing the info along. If it checks out, I do think it is a pretty special car but then again I am obviously biased.

This is a base with an S emblem, correct? Build sheet doesn't specify S, but that MSRP is getting into S territory - I guess the aerokit and PDK are primary contributors to that...

Some poor schlub is going to be very disappointed when he finds out the S he bought isn't...

Obviously not an S. No PASM, no S brakes, etc... Didn't even re-center the badging, just through an S on the end.

Who would do this?
Why put a 'S' on a non-S car??

What a poser!!

It's a LOT less expensive than the real S upgrade...and it makes some feel better.

I have far less issue with the poseur owner putting on an S badge than a dealership not knowing the difference and marketing it as an S...

Owners can put a McLaren badge on there 911's for all I care, but a dealer misrepresenting a $70K car they are selling is an entirely different matter.
