One of the first things to do when you see a suspicious ad like this is to pull up the dealer website and a google image of the location...

Does this look like a dealer that currently has the late model Porsches, Mercedes, Tesla's, Maseratis and the classic Camaro SS listed on their web site? Pretty common scam... They always have a nice web site with high end cars attractively priced and a middle-of-nowhere dealership. My guess is they try and scam internet deposits from folks and that they have nothing to do with the underlying dealership.

Yup. SCAM.

Seems like it once was a legitimate business. The old phone number is disconnected. The original owner passed away like 3 years ago. These scam artists find some defunct business, set up a website, and start scams.

As a bit of a market barometer on nearly identical cars, can you remind us of the sale date/miles/price when you sold the previous 991?

More or less than the Momentum car?

I paid $85k in June 2014, non-CPO (it was two years old then), 7,200 miles on it. Traded it in Aug 2016 with 19k miles on it.

Same exact car now with same mileage would be like $80K with a CPO at most dealers. Some would even be a bit higher.

Goes to show how values have held strong.

I would expect to have seen this listed for $10K cheaper though. Have easily seen cars like this for low/mid $80's 1-1.5 years ago. I'm still pretty shocked at the pricing out there. Needed to list it and catalog it here since it's a nice find.

This car is down to $85,552.09 NOW

Back to my original comment about the price!! Someone offer $83K or so and seal the deal.

Anyone seen this in person??

When I bought, similar 991S's with CPO were around $90k. That's almost three years ago.

It's interesting how the 991.1 had massive year 1-2 depreciation (like most luxury cars) but then flattens out remarkably. Some of it is the overall bubble market, some the .2 effect, etc, but for someone who hates rapidly depreciating assets, 2-4 year old 991's are looking pretty good!

Yeah, there are some serious discounts for a 2-3 year old 991! Worked for me...I bought used ones twice LOL...

I got my 2012.5 S with $125k sticker and full TechArt kit for $58k just about one year ago (had front end accident fully repaired by Porsche body shop, no frame damage, and 35k miles when purchased). Even with the accident history, I think it will be a while before I would lose any money on this car....and I wouldn't sell it for that price any time soon either. Cannot justify an extra $50k for GTS or $70-80k for GT3's incremental improvements, the S is pretty awesome already. Seems prices haven't dropped hardly at all in the past two years from when I started my search.

^^^ you've done very well, in addition to the Carmax one you bought just before that. Someone dig that one up on here. I'd like to see that one again.

You're on a streak here. Smart buys and not breaking the bank.

Deals are out there, just have to find them...I love driving manuals but glad I made the switch to PDK, makes my life a lot easier and it's so damn good.

So, I'm almost 5 months in.
And I absolutely despise the PDK.
The car is great. Just sooooo bored without the third pedal.
So, I've decided to sell the car if anyone is interested.
Not sure how CPO works with private sale though.

I've just begun a search for a 991.
I'm long time air-cooled junky and this'll be my first water cooled 911.
Found this one near me that I'm going to see on Saturday.
Any thoughts on the price?
Thanks for you help.
Cheers,
TJsBeer

CPO passes to buyer through private sale. Miles? Price? How long have you had it again?
