Porsche dealer would probably list this for $80-85k with CPO?
I don't think it would be that high. Low to mid-70s, maybe? Original MSRP $124k, very low optioned S Cab (no leather, for example, no performance options) with high miles. Price reflects low options and high miles.

I would have a PPI done within five days of purchase (CARMAX lets you return cars within five days of purchase) and I would have the VIN run before purchase at a Porsche dealer so that I could see the warranty work that had been done (i.e., anything major? Any repeat problems, especially electrical?). I wouldn't worry about getting the extended warranty. There is still almost a year and 12k miles left on the factory warranty.

I bought my first 991S from CARMAX (traded it in on my current CPO 991S) and had a great experience (I did not get the extended warranty - I had two years left on the factory warranty - any problems that I had were within the first six months of me owning it; the last 18 months were problem-free). The 991S that I bought was two years old and had only 7k miles on it. I traded it in when it was a little over four years old.

EDIT: After I looked at this, I think I recall that you bought a car from CARMAX previously and then flipped it? If this car was a 2015, I might see mid to high 80s CPO but three years old with such high miles that just feels a bit high at mid-80s CPO. But I could be wrong, of course.

Good advice. My dealer would be the first destination after taking ownership especially with any Pcar with PCCBs or a manual.

Craigslist - https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/6052950983.html

This might be a HFS, you will need to talk to the seller (not affiliated). No mention of CPO.

(And that is only because CARMAX has a five day return policy and does not allow PPIs before purchase - otherwise, get a PPI before purchase.)

This is a fellow rennlister's car, ArthurVandalay. I'm sure he'll chime in when he sees it. We briefly chatted about the car but a C4S is not mandatory for me.

Is it listed in the classifieds here? I would never list a 911 on craigslist.

Forums, cars.com, eBay, auto trader, sure.

Ok, I thought it might be, he should be CPO, just got it from Florida last year IIRC.

That is my car. You guys are good! Not CPO. Have had excellent results selling and buying from CL. Now I must photo and write a nice listing for RL, which will require me to use my dusty laptop. Selling because I want something else . The car is a low mi garage queen.

Not sure. He pm'ed when I missed that other C4S a few pages back.

I'm closing in on a .2 C2 spec'ed my way near that price. That 2018 configurator update has dealers starting to budge, but I'm still looking at .1 deals as they pop up (and disappear very quick)

Still seems like a good price for a 2014, I haven't seen any 14 S cabs that low. The Carmax warranty is dirt cheap for what you get - when I bought one from Carmax last year, 6 years/75k miles from date of purchase was only like $2300 which is a steal. It's worth buying just as a value-add when selling later IMO, and Carmax warranty allows you to have the warranty work done at a dealer.

I would be surprised to see this car for under $75k from a dealer even without the CPO.

CARMAX offered me a 5 year warranty which would have lasted three years after the factory warranty was up, for around $3600, if I remember correctly. This was 3 1/2 years ago. Six years for $2300! That's a deal!

I could see that car at $75k...not so sure at $85k though.

Don't let the low miles scare you off. There is no "use by date" on 991's.

Over $50K off and CPO not bad either!

Throwing in a virgin no drilled hole bumper in for icing on the cake.

Only HFS followers need apply for this one.
