Thanks anyway. These guys are on my shi*t list. First they have the SUV I was looking at, then mysteriously it was sold the night before. I feel your pain guys. I'm in the trenches too Benzel-Busch Mercedes Englewood, NJ I always have bad feelings about east coast dealers.

BIG THUMBS DOWN for this dealer.
Smart guess. Was going for the GL550. They take some pretty good hits. I do like the GLS550 mid cycle refresh though, but the 2013-2016's still look great. Really need that extra size for family stuff and comfort.
Drove the GLE350 a week ago. Pretty bad all over. The Cayenne does circles around it. Worth the extra money. Same with the Macan, Mercedes can't compete. That new Q7 doesn't look great either. Looks like a minivan. Did not drive that one though.
I hear Porsche is looking at making something a bit bigger than the Cayenne, but doubt it will be GLS or Range Rover sized.

STG, the new bigger Porsche SUV will be a Q7 with a Cayenne face on it.

Am I the only one having a problem finding any hot deals and cars?? I think the 991.2 is helping 991.1 sales!

Back then I toyed with waiting for the new 991.2's then picking up a 991.1 deal (from the "flood") about now. The "flood" did not arrive, seem's the 991.1's are holding strong and are the way to go - also I love the quad-tip look.
For those Porsche first-timmers out there (like me), keep hunting and strike quickly when you see something. STG gives straight advice and that is what you need. If I knew how amazing these cars were I would have got one 10 years ago! It's not just the car, it's the Porsche people. I joined PCA, attended 3 events and go to the monthly meetings. Everyone is so welcoming. After you get your Porsche the fun begins with adding little extras and buying all the car cleaning stuff. Lot's of threads here on all that stuff.

What STG is doing with this thread (perhaps unknowingly) is providing a ticket to a whole new type of car ownership experience for new Porsche owners. And don't forget that Panorama magazine, local club publications, and other members are also great sources of hot deals!

First purchase update - my story
I've been looking for a C2S or C4S 2013-2014 CPO Cab for the past few months. It's my first Porsche and I wanted to get the perfect car that I'm going to keep for a long time. I keep cars ten plus years, even daily drivers, so I like to do it right the first time. Over the past few months, I've only seen the CPO inventory shrink, but this forum has been incredible in helping me with my purchase decisions and ultimately my purchase. STG, I can't think you enough for creating it. Same to all of the contributors that add content.
After losing 4 cars in rapid succession to more aggressive bidders (two of the same vehicles are back on the market) and noticing that the number of 991.1 CPO vehicles was decreasing dramatically, I pulled the trigger on a new 2015. Dealers kept telling me that spring is when the cabriolets sell which was impacting CPO inventory. My argument was that new convertible cars would sell in the spring also and 1 or 2 year leases would be up in the spring. One would think that it should be a balanced effort. New and used cabs should be available. This logic did not hold and I'd love to know why.
As a result, I began looking for 2015 new cars that were still on the lot. This is much more difficult through the Porsche website as they only allow you to look at new cars based on zip code. I haven't found a way to survey the entire country.
Despite that, I found a new 2015 in Houston with a 142k MSRP and my almost perfect build for 116k. I got it just under that with CPO and a wheel change thrown in. In the next two weeks I'm going to take delivery of the vehicle, bought sight unseen, with 105miles and a 5.5yr 100k warranty on it. Unfortunately I had to increase my spend buy about 15K, but after considering the trade offs, I feel it was a very good deal. Including 3k for the CPO, it was approximately 21% off MSRP for a new car.

Forum members and contributors, as I've said, invaluable service. Thank you again for the help and your contributions.

Congrats Eric.
Must say one dynamic I've observed and heard from multiple dealers is that they're seeing the 991.2 buyers so far tend to be new to the brand or first time 911 buyers. Not much 991.1 to 991.2 at this point. At the same time, many guys skip the .2's in favor of the next generation (992 in this case).
Many of the .1's are longer term keepers for many guys too.
Regardless, as we've observed the 991.1 market is staying pretty strong now with slimmer pickings on great builds. It's a combination of a few different things I believe. I have a few ideas, but will become more evident as we get through 2016.
