991.2 with gear selection change
It looks like the 991.2 will have the up and down changes swapped around. Far more intuitive.
Now for RHD cars lets hope they also move the "manual" gear change up and down to the right so its closer to the driver. At the moment I have to push it away from me to move it to "manual" which means the gear stick is too far away for comfortable use.

I don't seem to have that problem

That is a good sign- it responds to a consistant complaint about the 991.1. Now they need is to have sharpended up steering feedback abit and engineered a good sport exhaust note.
Of course some won't be happy unless they make the car shorter, less stable, put a wobble back in the steering, removed rev matching in the MT, and stop making SUVs, but that will all be progress!

I would guess that the manual shift is just two electric switches under there somewhere.
Anyone look at the wiring to see if they can simply be reversed?
Could be a quick fix if it really bothers you.
And maybe the 991.2 bezel will fit to properly correct the markings.
The only other auto I have driven with sequential manual shifting is my Grand Cherokee, but it goes left and right, so I did not realize the direction on the 911 was "backwards".
I mostly use the paddles, and only sometimes use the shifter if I use Sport Plus. (Because you pretty much have to shift manually in S+ or people look at you funny when it goes to redline!)

Never really noticed this, as I always use the paddles. It's good that they changed around the manual shift on right hand drive cars to be activated when the gear shift is pulled closer to the driver. Must have been quite awkward the other way around.
