Default Remus exhaust on a 911 991 Carrera

Hi..
Has anyone installed a remus exhaust on their Carrera 991
- is it a worthwhile mod?

What is the sound like?
How loud is it?
Any difference in performance?
Thanks a lot

Can't speak of the sound (quality), but I can tell you that there won't be any (noticeable - being generous) performance gains.

Yeah I assume performance increase would be negligible ..
More interested in the sound

It does reduce weight by eliminating the side mufflers.
Also, it retains valves for Normal & Sport Modes.

I am considering that exhaust, myself.

I installed this on a 911 991 yesterday
Sound is really good..
louder than the PSE and better sounding and better looking..
inside there is a deep drone in the 2000-3000 rev ranges through the gears...
a bit tooo loud for freeway driving...
outside noise is great..

Thanks for posting, I appreciate your review.

How is it in "Quiet Mode", with the valves closed?

Even w/ PSE, I close the valves for city and highway driving, so maintaining a reasonable "Quiet Mode" is what I am mostly concerned with.

Actually I didn't install the sports exhaust switch ie no quite mode..
I thought I would test it out with valves open all the time first.. I might install it though..

It is a bit quieter when not in sport or sport plus...
The problem inside is that between the 2-3k rpm range it's not overly loud but too resonant on the lower frequencies now if u are acceleratingbits actually quite pleasant coupled to the other sounds but when cruising or staying In gear on that range for too long it's not nice inside - outside its awesome.
Startup is awesome much more aggressive. Going into underground parking lots causes alarms to go off if u hit the accelerator

Does your car have vacum lines?
If so, even w/o the switch, it would be in quiet mode under certian conditions, unless your COV is bad.

Vacuum lines I'm not sure - it's a standard C2 but with pdk and sports chrono .. Had a standard exhaust then I put the remus in

It does go quiter at certain times but it's the resonance that's more the issue not the loudness.. Soo things start to slightly vibrate in the cockpit sometimes in the 2-3k rev range

Interesting, I suppsoe you need to take a look under the car to see if vacum lines are there or not.

I would hope that "Quiet Mode" would stop that resonance, to allow peaceful highway cruising.
Thats the whole point of the valves, on aftermarket exhausts.
