This thread has been very helpful in getting my music with pictures to play on my car.

I have problems with the pictures also. I got them all to work by trying different pictures and trial and error. File size and type does not seem to be the only issue. I too would appreciate it if someone more knowledgable could provide more information.

I also notice that on my iPhone there are more than one picture for the same album. How to access those pictures would be good information also.

I had tried a 1 TB USB powered spinner, that did not work.

Note: All my files are 16:44k WAV files, remember your files have to be compatible as well.
I have a 128 GB flash drive in my 2012.5 Cab. It works fine, but I get the alphabetical song orders if I use the PCM to search for an album or artist. If I use the music pod in the instrument cluster (perhaps that's the wrong terminology), it is a little more cumbersome to get to the album I want, but the songs play in the order God intended (not alphabetical). I don't ever get art work to show up, but as long as I can choose from 200 Grateful Dead selections, I'm happy!

I have noticed problems with Album Art, when over a certain resolution also.
I think it might have been 1500x1500 (or possibly something lower).
To confirm, take a look at the resolution, of the stuff that is not displaying.
Also, make sure it's embedded, as I found "loose" art would not display.

I know nothing of iPods, but I don't think they show up, to the PCM, via USB (unless you have Car Play).
You might need to use a Computer to transfer your media to a USB Drive.

Thank you so much for this write up. Just to clarify, does anyone know if I need to copy the content "inside" this folder (all folders inside the music folder) or just the whole "music" folder (master folder) to my USB?

^^ Great thread, thanks OP. Worked great, including album art, on my 2015 991.1.

Thank you so much for posting this. I have been struggling to copy my iTunes library into my Cayenne for several tries. I'm so glad to see this post. Now I have my Jukebox loaded with songs from my iTunes library! This is awesome.

Will give this a shot. I always find myself annoyed waiting 30 seconds for the Bluetooth to connect.

Helpful info, thanks. However, I did find out that my '17 Cayenne Jukebox capacity is only 10GB. All the music I've bought in the last 10 years or so has been from iTunes, so I'll deal with whatever the sampling rates are in that. The nice thing was I convinced myself not to spend the extra $$$ for the Burmester given the rather low quality source files I'm dealing with.

Just checking to see if anyone has found a way to add album artwork to .WAV files for the 991.1 PCM V4.76. When it was stated in this thread it wasn't possible, I wasn't sure what version was tried and if there have been changes since.

Thx!

Thanks for this write up. I used this to successfully add music to my jukebox. One question: If I want to add new music, I assume I can just copy the new folders to the jukebox, and they will automatically be added to the track list. Is this correct?

Thanks!

For those of us on Macs using iTunes, this is an amazing program to accomplish moving files and playlists to a USB drive for transfer to the jukebox. HIGHLY recommended. He also has scripts that do things like downsize album art so it is properly displayed in the PCM screen. Simple to install and use with great results.

What is the size of the hard drive on a 2018 911? The OP referenced a 40GB hard drive but my 2017 Cayenne only has a 10GB drive, not enough for my entire music library but close enough that with selective editing I was able to move what I most wanted.
