My new '15 991S
I thought I'd may as well post up here - being a seasoned 911 owner!
After 2 years of driving a C63 Black Series as my daily, I've gone all soft and bought a new 991 S for the daily. Tried really hard (but failed) to keep the options down, so I present to you my new C2S in Met Jet Black.
Options - PDK, Sport Design kit inc. mirrors, lowered 20mm, body painted wheels, window alloy trim, Sports Chrono, Sports Exhaust , Sports+ seats (heated), rear window tints, park sensors inc. camera, 911 Badge, ...... think that was it! More pictures once the sun shines again and it's clean!
Managed to do 1000 miles in just over two weeks and loving it!
Cannot believe the fuel economy on a run! Been used to 18mpg in the MB, so 30 mpg is a revelation!

Graham - love the all-black. Looks great!
I'm always curious about something . . . On this side of the pond, cars are marketed with "Model Year" designations. In the US, Porsche switched from MY14 to MY15 in June. But I thought that in the UK, cars were designated with the calendar year sold (or maybe manufactured?). So is your car considered a 2014 or a 2015 model?

OP,
Love your Aero kit... Would you mind providing us with a comparison of your former C63 BS with your new 911? I own an Edition 507, and would love to hear your take on a comparison of the two vehicles.
I'm going back to a 911 as well, but plan to keep the 507 as well... I'm afraid I'll miss the massive low end torque of the AMG; hence my reason for keeping the AMG.
Cheers/B

The C63 was something else - being the Black Series it had near 520hp, so the 991 does feel a bit pedestrian.
I sort of miss the massive torque thump that a 6.2 gives you - oh and the noise! But the C63 for all it's specialness was fairly basic inside and the suspension was ..... Very informative regarding the road surface! The internal organs are enjoying the cosseted ride much better!
The stopping power on the C63 was also much better - the massive 6 pot calipers are the same as the GT3's I believe. Great feel with a steel disc compared to the CC's.
I'd be in a GT3 now if I'd of jumped on the bandwagon sooner - just waiting now for the Gen2 version!
