New car with a replacement trans CARRERA S
The car is a 2014 with a production date of 10/13. It has 28 miles on it. During the PDI they noticed a problem with the PDK "Transmission. it's something in reverse gear. The transmission they will be ordered is a new trans later today, after final approval from Porsche.
They finally got to someone who knew what was going on. Apparently there was an issue with the wiring harness in this trans, which of course cannot be replaced. Nothing mechanical.
The car has all the options color and I could not ask for more. My question is should I take the car with a replaced transmission?

It wouldn't bother me a bit to have a component replaced. Its a machine with sub-assemblies on it, and they can fail. As long as the new one is installed correctly, you're good to go. I had a new car transmission failure on a BMW X5 at 500 miles. An entire new transmission was installed and gave no issues for as long as we owned it - which was 6 more years and another 126,000 miles.

+1 its a no brainer for a lease, a purchase that you might come to sell (privately) later might be a different matter
