Default Also Worth the Wait -- ED of Duke's C2S

European Delivery date finally arrived -- ordered originally in March 2014. Day 1 was Sunday the 31st with a visit to the Porsche Museum.

Porsche Plant

Sky Bridge transporting bodies from body/paint shop to assembly plant.

Porsche Museum -- Pretty darn cool.

My favorite cars in the museum:

Day 2: Delivery Day

Tour of plant -- I found the tour fascinating and could have gone on for hours. Their built in excuse to end the tour is lunch, which I skipped anyway. The assembly line broke for lunch just as we arrived at the "marriage point" of when the body and chassis come together. I asked, "How long is their lunch break?" Guide said "We must also stop for lunch." Oh well.

918's being loaded.

After lunch, delivery. Then off to Heidelberg for a quick trip.

Duke's C2S:

More to come on delivery day later.

Wow! Looks great, Duke. Cool pics. Seeing the 918's must have produced goose bumps.

Seeing the 918's even stopped the tour guide in presentation. All mouths agape.

Delivery day tools:

Griot's Speed Shine and window cleaner (glad these were not removed from checked luggage)7; micro fiber Speed Shine, widow, and shop towels.
European Delivery folder.
Millworks tow hook license plate mounting bracket (to avoid drilling front bumper, more on this later).

You figured out a way to get them to NOT drill the front bumper for the temp plates? pls post as top level thread.

Mine was already drilled and mounted before I arrived and I had no say in the matter. My state requires both front and rear so I didn't mind... But still, it was mounted without asking.
