Did I mention (likely did) but I have 2 sets of Soul Carbon fiber tips available!

Both used and one set is almost new but…there are some cosmetic issues for both that can be easily fixed.

1. One set the clear coat near the tips got too hot and the clear flaked off. Would need to
sand off and re clear at a body shop. Pretty easy fix

2. Used for around 5k miles and there was an area that needs to be spray painted black with high temp paint. Hard to notice it. These was my go to ones before I had the overheat issue on the brand new ones.

To be clear - my car had a overheating issue (one time) where I believe the cross over valve problem appeared out of nowhere. Not something normal that would cause damage to any of these. My go to set I think was from a over zealous pressure washer who was detailing my car.

I was told by my dealer, the 991.1 C2S standard factory exhaust sound is in between the OEM sports when it's on and off. He said it's not that big of an upgrade in sound.
Can someone please enlighten me on this as l was considering adding the sports exhaust.

Oh BTW, sports exhaust are out of stock and there's no ETA

I have factory PSE and there is little difference between valves open and closed. For the price that they cost I would recommend you compare a stock vs PSE and decide if it’s worth it for you. If you want aggressive you should consider a non OEM option.

Thank you, that's pretty much what the dealer told me.

Agree that Porsche does get the PSE correct and it adds to the car but that said I wouldn't worry about PSE being "out of stock" currently with no ETA. There are plenty of aftermarket options that only improve upon what PSE gives you. I have Akrapovic iin my last two cars as it is one of the best made and sounding exhausts for the cars and pleasant to my ears without being too aggressive...but between Capriso, Soul, AWE, Fabspeed, Kline, IPE, Borla, etc you have TONS of options available...that are actually in stock likely and available. So my advice is go listen to a few and get the one you like and sounds good to your ears. Also likely will save a bit of $$ from the PSE option for sure and won't void any warranties if done correctly by a shop familiar with these cars too. GL

Our 991.1 Valved Exhaust System (Development thread below) is a nice step up from the factory PSE muffler and we have options for all the S Non PSE and all PSE equipped models, as well as the Base Non PSE model. Check out the numerous videos on the product pages on our website for a feel for the results. We also typically keep these in stock and ready to ship, with a worst case scenario few week turnaround

Thanks for the replies.
l wanted to keep it OEM as l have Porsche factory warranty that can be extended for another 7 years.
years.
Porsche are becoming extremely stringent with any aftermarket mods,

I've seen, heard and read lots of warranty denials for things that aren't related to failures.
For example, one had a DSC module to tune his PASM shocks, his engine blew up and they flat out denied warranty, he payed out of pocket.

Another one a gt3 with non oem sports exhaust had his engine blow up, he was denied warranty, can you imagine the grief of paying full price on these engines and no it wasn't the money shift.

I do like the sound of the standard OEM exhaust on the S just wanted a little more volume when l'm on it and able to switch to quiet when l need to.

I installed it on my C2S. It was easy. Took about 3hrs to install. Swapped out the front muffler and vacuum line and then swapped out the dash switch cluster. Dealer programmed the button for me. Charged me one hr in labor.

How did you find the sound before and after the install?

James, its definitely a big improvement. I really don't think I will ever run it with the button off at this point. On the same note, I could see myself one day adding the Soul Exhaust for a little more..... Its an addicting sound for sure....

Did you ever figure out the problem? I'm having the same issue and the dealer can't figure it out.

Anyway, disassembled bumper, taillights, etc everything out again (3rd time)...Unfortunately it is yet not perfect and furthermore all twisted... by this I mean, whenever I deactivate the PSE button (light off) the sound is definitely louder, when pressing the button (light on) sound is quiet!

Furthermore, I tried blocking the valves manually and that's where it all gets very tricky. Actually, if you completely open the 2 valves, the exhaust is way quieter! so I assume the COV actuates at all time on the valves, the loudest position of the exhaust is definitely not "full open " valves.
We need now to understand what is the standard position of the valves and confirm whether these are correctly installed or not, and last but not least, understand the way all this **** works together (sorry I'm losing patience here).

Anyway, tonight I have a friend coming along with his 991.1 s (stock PSE) I have no other source of inspiration than checking his car and try to reproduce the exact same installation and routing, after what I will pray and hope it all gets sorted!!!
I am struggling very hard with this thing but the sound is definitely worth it.

Before the switch and programming, the valves were activated initially at cold start, but after a minute or so, they de-activate (direct visual inspection). I need to check to see if this is the case now.

Brief background: I installed the center "silencer" and used the appropriate OEM parts, and followed the retro fit procedure precisely. I did not replace the side mufflers, and I used the S tips (they fit perfectly). The car is a C2S, 2014. I installed the switch and panel, the dealer programmed it.

If I see valve activity on cold start, this should mean that there is no vacuum line issue, possibly a control valve problem. If it fails, it appears that it could be a vacuum line (possible, but unlikely), or, the control valve (COV). I may have the dealer look at it, even though they did not do the install, it should be obvious that it was done to spec, and should be a warranty issue.
Hi there, were you able to get it working? What was the issue?

Did any of you have luck with your issue? I am having the same thing where even after programming I'm not getting any difference with PSE pressed or not pressed. Valves don't seem to be moving at all.
