I had to take a business trip today but I didn't feel so hot, so I stuck my 4S on cruise control (right at speed limit). 30 mpg?

Funny how it doesn't do this when I'm redlining it all over the place. :)

That is impressive over such a long distance.

Here is my record (911-50 no powerkit with manual transmission) from Zurich to the Swiss-German border. Afterwards it raised just a bit on the unlimited Autobahn :)

According to a converter, this is about 35.6mpg but of course for just some short miles.

Hope you feel better soon.

6.6l/100km ! Wow, that's pretty impressive!

When doing a trip from NYC to Chicago I had the "Eco" mode enabled. I got over 34 mpg.

What octane rate fuel was that? 98 or 100?

It was 98 octane from Total.

draxa, for sure those values are strange, but I wanted to see what is possible. From the Swiss-German border back to Stuttgart the average consumption was back at somewhere double that value, so no problems there :)

I set my cruise at 80 when traveling and get around 32 mpg. Just an amazing car!

Zohan 04-03-2014 02:29 PM

efisiancy simply the porsche way

with drafting behind a semi you could get it up to 50mpg

Jay-S 04-03-2014 03:47 PM

I felt better today. PSE and 3k-4k revs soothes the soul. Sorry for starting this thread :)

Yes, I have fairly routinely got 28-30 MPG on the way to the track, 8-9 MPG at the track and back to 28 MPG on the way home. Truly an amazing car.
