GM public relations: "Yeah! Hey guys, let's do this! We'll send a Z51 to Consumer Reports and a base car with a slushbox to Chris Harris! That will save us $624.14!"
This is why you lose.

Good question.
But i have played w the Configurator and gotten to 150s w/o the powerkit.
The bonehead gm mkting person that provided the c7 should be fired

That is one outstanding bit of automotive journalism. No bull****, no speculation no Internet trolling.
PS Add the obvious upgraded suspension and an MT to the Vette, or get a 991 with more typical kit than $57k of options, and the result won't change. Two outstanding cars that get you what you pay for.

Someone must have just picked up the phone and said "Hey GM and Porsche". "Send us a couple of automatics!"
I don't think the 991 had the powerkit. Chris said the car had 400 hp. I think that's what he said.

I didn't enjoy.
Chris Harris has made a journalistic living out of sliding cars around tracks which coincides with the current 'drifting' popularity.
I see nothing worth noting in his reviews, it doesn't matter what he has to test, just get it on the track, talk some trash and put it out for publication.
I usually don't watch/read his reviews and in this case, I'm sorry I wasted my time.-Dick
