50th_Anniversary Editions at the '14 PCA Parade in Monterey
Mondrian:
I thought it would make more sense to answer your question on this thread.
That photo was taken at the PCA Parade at Monterey in June. I saw four 50th Anniversary cars in total attending the Parade. I have three of their numbers. The fourth belongs to Larry A., who is a Rennlister here by the name 'Rallyeporsche'. He is a Golden Gate Region autocross enthusiast. I failed to take the photo of his # because we got into a conversation about his 991, which he had Porsche buy back and got this instead over at Carlsen. Some of you might remember this post:
Most of the photos of the three 50th were taken at the final day's Parade of Porsches at Laguna Seca. As you can see there were a lot of cars there to do a few laps around the track. The three there were one of each color - 'Black', 'Geyser Grey Metallic' and 'Graphite Grey'. Larry's car was 'Geyser Grey Metallic', but I don't think he was there. I think I got the right number associated with the car...but I am not 100% sure.
1) 'Geyser Grey Metallic' was #515. It belongs to Jim M. of the PCA Arizona Region.
2) The 'Black' was I believe #1329 and it belongs to Charles W. of Golden Gate Region.
3)The 'Graphite Grey' must be #1554. And it belongs to Kurt H. of PCA 'Diablo' in Northern California.
4) The other 'Geyser Grey Metallic' at the Parade is not pictured. It belongs to Larry A. of Golden Gate Region.
Final three photos are of some of the PCA Parade cars lining up to do their two 'Parade' laps at Laguna Seca!

Three Wheelin'
Thanks Eduardo, I believe 'Rallyeporsche' has already registered his 1715 on here. Did you manage to make a note of g/box type of the 3 above cars by any chance?

Well speaking of #1715, #1714 just landed in my garage. I am really glad I finally have a registry to be part of for the first time since my 993 Turbo. I got a geyser grey PDK. I have had my TT TWO Gt3s and I could have sworn on my sons lives I would have NEVER bought a auto. But 5 years ago on my way to buy a GT3RS I stopped by my dealer to see the PDK and go on. I stopped and bought the C2S right there on the spot! PDK is GREAT. But I CANT tell you how I am SO GLAD that on this important model Porsche allowed the MT to be had as an option.
I have a standard USA version I paid $10K under MSRP! Came lightly optioned (I was amazed at the star trek enterprise optioned ones out there!!!) PDK, PASM, Seat heating, Luggage net?(wallet net?) SMoking package including ascot and smoking jacket, Light Design package, Sunroof,Bose, Power steering plus, XM, Pedals in AL U minium as they say in the UK.Adaptive Sport Seats (A MUST with a bad bacck)
I planned on this 3 years ago and I almost missed the boat on this one. Took 2 months of wearing Wifey down, and then needing a great price. I had a great price on the Graphite. Those are harder to sell here and the Geyser Grey is more desirable in SoCal but they finally relented. Mine was a April build.
I ALMOST Got a 991 GT3 with a bad motor Porshce was going to send off and get back but they wanted 20K OVER MSRP after it came back!!
I Spent 3 hours in my 997 then the 50th, Boy it sure made mine feel old!!!

Mondrian, first of all I want to thank you and congratulate you on your hard and thorough work.
But I didnt see, did you compile the differences between the different countries packages?
Like the USA gets the power kit. I noticed that our cars have a VERY cool mini aerokit. The front
dam and the side skirts and the BEST non GT3 wing EVER on a 911 in my opinion!!!!!
Did they all get the aerokit?

Bacura, My point was that as far as the deployable rear wing or spoiler goes the 991 is the best design I have seen. The rear decklid spoiler that is on the 997 and older cars is just ancient looking. Its been that same design since the 964?
I just think the NEW design for the deployable wing is just awesome!!

Nice touch from Porsche Canada! A month or so ago they courier me the big 911 x 911 Edition Porsche Museum book. Then today I receive a big box with my Certificate of Authenticity (Birth Certificate) suitable for framing along with an aluminum pylon with the Porsche crest, my name, my car and the Vin, a discount gas card for 94 octane fuel, and a few other tokens of appreciation. Very nice!
