Thanks HelpMe! I'm aware of Brett's cars and the Geyser car has a glass roof. The black one is perfect - except for the fact that it's black. I'm one of those guys who has sworn off black cars forever!

Default Are we done here????? What's new?

All quiet on the "50" thread. Did all of the Fifties go into collections, never to be seen again, or is everyone over on the Corvette C-8 Circus (302,000 views!)?

Anyways..."Gretchen" has a few Concours coming up including Westbury Gardens on Long Island, and the great Boston show. A Trek upstate (NY) and a NER Woodstock, Vermont Treffen.
I may take it back to see the kids in Nashville again this Fall, as she needs at least one really long ride before the December storage.

Any trips planned or taken, with accompanying photos would be nice to share

Regards,
JS

Still here! Came out the restaurant last night to find 2 couples dying over my car. Just blown away by the color and the accents done on the 50th. One of the guys was sorta kinda a Porsche guy and knew of them.

Love bugs here are so bad this year Im waiting for winter or at least October to take any long trips.

Bought another bottle of Kenotec to keep car nice and shiny. That stuff is really good.

Yep still here too! Just took her over to Sun Valley for the Sun Valley Tour de Force. Put it in the car show and recieved many many compliments. It was the only 50th in a show of approximately 120-150 cars. A couple Singers, many gt3’s and Turbo S’s. Even a 918 a Bugatti Chiron, McClaren Senna etc. it was a very nice car show.

I was at Tour de Force as well! I saw you in the same parking area as us. We were giving you props for taking your car off road! My previous 911-50 is for sale at CPR classics in CA. Seeing yours made me regret selling mine!

Ha! Believe me, after about 100 feet up the road, I was regretting my decision. Fortunately, we didn’t scrape one time. We were dusty but the guy in the black 135i is a great detailer. She cleaned up nice.

Should have come by to say hello! What were you driving?

Glad you didn't scrape. What a beautiful car - stylistically my favorite 911 of all time but my car ADD kicked in once again.

At some point I went looking for you but I think you may have left. I was in the Earth Roamer. Did you see it? My colleague was driving the Ferrari F12 berlinetta. We did a total of three runs with the best run clocked at 193 mph! The Bugatti was like a spaceship gliding/whooshing by. Just incredible.

I certainly did. I remember thinking “that’s pretty bad**s. I also saw the F12 pull up and for a moment thought, well if an F12 is up here, I don’t feel so bad for taking my car up that road.:-)

I'm new to owning this 50th. Understand the ADD thing. I had a pristine 16’ Boxster Spyder I traded in on it. I’ll miss that car.

So happy to hear that other 50's are actually out there making people happy. I find that there are many, wherever we go, that see it as a "special" automobile. That definitely includes Porsche folks.
Last year it was a toss up between "Gretchen" and a pre-owned California (I know...is it really a "Ferrari"?). I convinced myself that the F-cars were a dime a dozen further out east (Hamptons). Last week proved my (made up at the time, logic). Four Californias (first gen) in six hours and one of me!
I believe that our model is a rare bird out here on Long Island, now that ORCLEAN let his go to a nice lady upstate. (Met her on the last Trek, driving her Merc...) If not, Metro NY people, chime in!
I'll be sending a few pix as the Trek, Treffen and Concours season draws to a close. I hope that some of you will, as well.

Regards,
JS

I noticed this one for sale near me at Porsche Bellevue w/16k miles and a warranty end date in May 2020 - asking price $116k.

Did someone here just sell it or trade it in?

Congratulations on on a beautiful car. That’s an amazing feeling having it coming off the transporter. I did that in May. Number 729.

Enjoy it!
