i can sympathise, i'm an aussie, we get shafted pretty hard by zee germans too.
Really nice car! i am looking at almost the exact same car, colour, wheels, interior etc. to configure the car on the website its over 300k, but the dealers do 50 - 70kms on them and sell them as demonstrators for about 250k. The other option is a gt3 for 330k and 6 month wait.

Ours are roughly half that price here in South Africa - but only up to the C2S - after that we pay much higher import duties.
We're getting a "discount" so to speak on the duties as the VW group produces cars here in South Africa and they can offset their exports from their imports. If it where not for that we would have to pay around 100% import duty on a C2S as well.

Gorgeous car.
Man with that amount of tax you're paying - you should get a group of your own govt workers to order around at your leisure.
Enjoy that gorgeous car.

Gorgeous car! Enjoy and drive it in good health! Agree with the other posters in expressing gratitude for the US of A, even with personal income brackets as high as they are . . .
