Just like the wipers, the clock (w/sport chron) and windows, the 911 sleeps even more restless than the Merc. It'll be "working" on all kinds of tasks after we park it.

I guess if you haven't spent any quality time with your 991 for a few hours after you park it you would never know!
Your Porsche never sleeps. Its "working" on monitoring YOU and sends back all sorts of data back to Deustchland!

Really? I have both a VW and an Audi and have never seen this. And my '07 Cayman S didn't either. Bizarre.

My C2S also moves the wiper blades at shutdown.

The Window going up and down is a necessary issue. In the 991 (i do not know about the 996 or 997) the windows recesses behind the car frame there is no door frame for the window, so in order to open the door the window has to go down a couple ¨cm¨in order to clear he frame, same with closing.

In the 993 it was not necessary because the door had the window frame.

Very proud of myself for finding this thread before starting a new one! 😊

The pulsing of wipers and occasionally windows seemed very strange...glad there is a good reason for it. German attention to detail!

Wipers pulse and windows jump on shut down. When left alone in the garage, I’ve noticed the car jumps up and down wanting to go for another run. I leave the light and the tv on in the garage so she doesn’t cry.
