Sport design steering wheel
I want to change my steering wheel to the sport design steering wheel, I was looking the Suncoast website and saw two sport design steering wheels, the one for the 997 is usd 999 and the one for the 991 is usd1549, they look exactly the same, would the997 one work on my 991?

I changed mine to the SD wheel...I looked originally at Suncoast which is where I was tempted. You will see that they ask you for the VIN, since the options on your car are also relevant i.e. do you have the multi function wheel currently? If so then you will lose some functionalities or require a new stalk (I believe - I went from a non multi-function wheel so this point was irrelevant). Hence the 997 version will surely not work.
Anyway, I checked it through the dealer. With my VIN they got the exact version and ended up getting a 15% discount on the part and install so total price was a deal.
I'm thrilled I did it!

then your parts and install will be easier.
all you need is the wheel and a software update. you will reuse the your current airbag.
changing out a MF is a PITA as it requires a stalk and and new steering wheel column case.
BTW the techart paddles are $hit. Seen it 1st hand

If you need assistance, contact us with your VIN number. The 991 version comes with steering column control units and hardware based on your car's options. We have recently found that 991/981's with minimal options don't require all of the control units and dealer installation/programming. For those models, it's just a steering wheel swap. So if you don't have multifunction or heated wheel (there could be other variables, still trying to verify), it will be a cheaper install. Contact us for details.
