Should I worry?
We will be on vacation for 17 days. Will the C2S be fine upon our return or would we need to get the battery charger to keep it charged during that time?
I know my other cars will be fine, but the Porsche owner's manual suggested to keep the car charged so I am starting to worry... |
it'll be fine. It sounds like you want to get a charger though, so go for it.

I would suggest a charger as well. I have a Battery Tender, a Porsche branded charger, and my favorite, the Ctek.

Not 100% sure, but I think my manual said 6 weeks is ok. So your 17 days would be well within that range!

Hi Guys
this may sound like a stupid question, but where is the battery incase I need the car jumped or hook to battery tender. |
It is in the front trunk. The problem is you can't open the trunk if the battery is dead so you have to jump the car at the fuse box then open the trunk. Check the owners manuel for details. Or in short :rtfm:

Should be fine as long as you don't have anything aftermarket installed on the car to be responsible of parasitic current draw.
Very important though : Close all windows, engine compartment and trunk and lock the car using the remote. This will put all computers completely " to sleep " within 7 days so the current draw will be minimum, below 50 Milliamps. |
I stopped by the dealer and bought a battery maintainer. Plugs into the cigarette lighter spot, and works with other vehicles too. For $125, not too bad for peace of mind.
