glad i ordered without sunroof... many demand a sunroof.. but without a sunroof the headroom was superb and no noises... the buffeting is HORRIBLE with just windows open, even partially open.. i can't imagine w/ sunroof.

A completely open sunroof is just as noisy above 60 on the 991 as a 997 or my Infiniti. But- popping the back of the sunroof totally relieves the buffeting that occurs with open windows. I use it a lot, in town and on the highway-- especially sweet with PSE.

I got lucky, my metal sunroof does not squeak at all.

I'd imagine that it is significantly less than the 246# difference.
My car does not have anything else that weighs anything significant...sport chrono, Power steering plus, metallic paint (granted white paint weighs less), roof transport prep. It's got to be the roof? What's left?

On second thought lets include the weight of all the fluids on board. Then you have true curb weight. So the roof is maybe only 100lbs.

Yes, fuel alone is about 100#.

Someone stated (educated guess) that it was about 50lbs. That is enough up top for me to not like the roof, besides the fact that I never use it on my other cars.
