Default So I'm thinking of painting every single plastic!

Every time I drive my car, I look around me with eyes full of love..
Until those mirrors cross my eyes with those ugly black plastic pieces!!

I know for sure that I'll be painting those with same car color... but I'm wondering if I should also paint every other plastic piece around the car... front and back... But then I'm thinking it might be an overkill...

Searched the web, couldn't find an aqua blue "fully painted"...

Would like to hear your opinions... and, if any of you guys have any pics of aqua blue with painted plastics, I'd appreciate sharing...

I seem to recall an all-red 991 on the Porsche website in their Exclusive section. I personally like the contrast with a few black bits on my car (anthracite brown) but it's all personal preference. Some colors work better all-colored-out. Red and blue are some of the better colors for all-color-out. Darker colors, in my highly subjective opinion, benefit from contrast.

I'm with you, don't like te plastic. I just replaced the rear diffuser with a CF Peice. Front spoiler as well, would like to find a way to replace just the plastic part of mirrors with a CF unit. I'm going to research when I get home from vaca, I haves local guy that can hydro dip plastic parts. it's indistinguishable from cf, so of I can disasble the mirrors I may do that.

Hmmmm... seems to make sense, and yes, it's highly subjective, and differs from one person to another. Thanks for the response.

Again, CF is a very good idea, and I agree with you about the mirrors. I wouldn't go for the full CF mirrors available in the market, I'd like to have the plastic part only in CF if possible...

Can you share a pic of your CF part?

I'm lucky, my car is Bas Black and plastic just blends in. If it were a contrasting color, I would paint.

I would like to color-match the rear diffuser section of my white C4S. The rest, I think, does well in contrast to a white car.
With blue, I would color match the mirrors and rear diffuser

I'd suggest a wait-and-see on GT3 and turbo mirrors. These should be plug-compatible and bolt-on, but maybe the foot or contour or the door cutout is different. I'd wait and see. Second is aftermarket. Third choice is buy new mirrors and leave the factory mirrors unmodified. Fourth option is paint film to make it easy to reverse or to try various options till you like the result.

Carrera GT:
100% with you on GT3 mirrors! Mine are electronically foldable though, I'm wondering if they'd still fold with the GT3 mirrors? My garage door is a bitt narrow for 2 cars, some times it's useful to fold those mirrors while getting out...

I found this:

But there's no photo of it after implementation. It does look very cool though!

As I continue my search, I found the following pics with an aqua boxter + aqua 991 side by side, the boxter's got painted front grills, they look pretty neat to me..

What do you guys think?

As for the back diffuser, I also like, very, very much this piece:

unfortunately the GT3 mirrors are not foldable.
and I agree, i dont like the plastic on the mirror. P does offer a painted option. Knowing P I bet it was done intentionally.
