My opinion is that nitrogen inflation is a gimmick. Compressed air is something like 80% nitrogen anyways. If it is free, then by all means. But if you are being charged for it, meh not worth it. Pretty sure most major tire shops have the capability now days, it is a nice money maker for them.

My dealer always does the nitrogen in my tires. I do believe the cold tire pressure remains more constant over a long period of time, although I haven't tracked any data. I do know that i personally haven't had to top them off, although the dealer may do so as a matter of course.

I am going to be running nitrogen when I get my new tires (whenver the Michelin PSS arrive). I would not bother for street use, but as I track my car regularly the potential stability in tire temps is much more beneficial. Even more so as the PSS are supposedly more sensitive to higher pressures than the stock P-Zeros.

Once I have some track time on them, I will post my thoughts.

Your tires will leak a lot less over time with nitrogen, so I think it's worth it. The one time I used it I never had to put more air in for the entire lifetime of the tire.
Also, it protects the TPMS.
