Burning Brakes
You guys are showing a degree of mental health that I don't pretend to aspire to. Sell one car in order to buy another, this is a vehicular monogamy I don't understand. In the past 24 months I have owned a new '09 997C2S PDK Cab, which I traded for a MB 550SL because the 997 was too damn noisy. The 550 bored me to tears and I felt like a dope for buying it. I went to the dealer to try a AMG63 which I didn't 't like mouch. They were also Bentley/RR dealers, and in a weak moment I traded the SL for a Bentley GTC. Dumbest thing I've done
as an adult. While I had the GTC I bought my second 993 NB. I just love 993's but I missed the power of my 997. So I sold the GTC and started looking for a 993tt. The perfect car, in that it has the charm of the 993 with 400hp. Sold the 993 and bought A 993tt. Great car, really great car. So great I was afraid to drive it much. So I bought a new 991 C2S PDK Cab.
Say what you will, the 991 is magic. I sold the 993tt cuz now I want a 356 Speedster prior to leaving this mortal coil. The only thing I am certain of is that I will have another 993. It isn't near the masterpiece of the 991, but there are lots of ways to light a fire and the 993 always lights mine. A 991 will also always be in the garage, at least until the next quantum leap by Porsche. The only consistent thing here is my love of 911's and my own twisted relationship to automobilia. I'm not all that proud of this, but there it is. Fire away....Chris

Race Car
That makes me feel almost normal!
In the past couple years, I've had a 2010 GT3RS, 2012 Audi TT-RS, 2011 C2S, 2011 Boxster Spyder, 2007 GT3, 2012 Cayman R, 2012 Audi 5.2 R8, 2012 Mercedes SLK55AMG, 2012 991 C2S, and now the 2011 Turbo S.
I still have the Cayman R. It has survived almost a year now. That right there should tell you how special that car is!
And I think the Turbo S may have what the 991 C2S was lacking. The real test will come when the 991 GT3 gets here. I suspect I'll keep the Turbo, but who knows? The GT3 will surely be an amazing car. What remains to be seen is if it will be an amazing GT3.

2008 Subaru Legacy GT, then 2009 base Cayman, then 2009 997.2 C2S pdk, now a 2013 991 C2S pdk cabriolet.
All good cars, but Cayman was dull--too balanced.
2008 Legacy GT--awesome, best car ever for less than $30K
997.2 C2S-- great car, on the wild side, but pdk not quite right (yet)
991 C2S cab-- bingo!, maybe too polished for some, but who needs to get a Ferrari now for 2-3x the cost? This S is now a competitor to the Italian supercars.
