Angry Chrono clock's dim at night

I've noticed the chrono clock is too dim when the interior lights are on at night---digital clock is ok but the digits on the analog clock dial are hardly readable...any idea how to make it brighter? Am I missing particular setting/adjustment? Many thanks !

I seem to recall someone finding that this issue was addressed by (of all things) a software update. The analog and digital clock weren't synchronized properly, somehow, and when the dealer reflashed the firmware to fix that issue, the lighting was also improved.

One thing the 991 has is plenty of clocks.

The workshop mgr tells me no update I guess since its a couple of months old? Anyhow, I did the obvious and turned up the brightness...relatively the clock dial is just too dark vs other instruments in the car...oh well...I guess I can live with that...

Just thought I would ask, has anyone else had this issue with the clock being very dim relative to the instrument cluster? I ave 2015 C4S with the same issue.

Thanks,
Andrew

Based on previous posts here, the sports chrono does not light up by default....though it can apparently be turned on by the dealer through software setup.

HA! This is humorous. On my 2008 Porsche, the Sport Chrono clock was so bright at night you couldn't use it and everyone complained...and so Porsche now responded by making it too dim. You gotta love it.

Indeed, it baffles me how some things get by QA. I liked my 997 chrono light. The analog clock was very readable at night, and honestly I liked the look. I had the dealer turn the light on in my 991 and it is comically dim. Absolutely worthless.
