Tire Valve Stem Caps
I realized my 991 didn't come with tire valve stem caps. Is this normal? Or according to Porsche, caps are not required or recommended? I see a number of Porsche valve stem caps for sale online. Which would you recommend?

I recall the owner's manual states only plastic valve covers, but they are recommended. My guess is that they don't want big heavy metal ones as they may affect the balance, but any plastic one that keeps the dirt out of the valve should be fine.
The dealer should have supplied them and I would ask them for before going shopping. |
You should at least have got some basic valve stem caps.
Go back to the dealership and ask them for the 'Style B' on this link: http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PKALUV.html They are light, nice and cheap! |

Yep, plastic caps are included...

Mine came with grey plastic caps.

They gray/black plastic are the only ones to use. If you buy the steel logo ones there's better than a 50% chance they will essentially weld themselves to the stems and this will require new TPS units. Had this problem with another car that had TPMS. Very expensive mistake. I tired to buy the metal ones from my dealer and they refused to sell them to me.
