Standard audio vs Bose vs Bermester
I am new to the forum and have been getting great and valuable information for ordering my c2.
Now I am at a point where I have to choose from either PSE or Bose. Tough choice for me, any takers to give suggestions

PSE. I took delivery of my new 911 two weeks ago and probably would not have got the pse if it had not been at the strong urging of the good people on this forum. Let me just say that even though I also do have the Bose, the first button that I reach for is the sport setting to turn on the pse. Get it, it's way more fun than the stereo.

Test drive the different set ups and it will come to you. I would get PSE with the base stereo. I have Bose in my 997 and never listen to it. The noise of the engine is all I need. Besides, I don't consider the 911 a good place to listen to music. Lux cars like MB, Lexus etc are best for that sort of stuff. Cheers.

I'm preparing my order too, but my decision is to get the PSE for sure, but I am deciding between the Bose and the Burmeister...
I'm somewhat of an audiophile, so I've ruled out the standard system, but I hear that the Bose in the 991 is actually quite good (compared to the 997)--so I'm leaning towards the Bose.

In my experience, the base system I tested was terrible. I got the Bose and it's fine while the car isn't running, but once the car is running, it's really a poor place to hear music with the engine and tire noise. I can't imagine the Burmeister being much better with all the background noise, although it is truly spectacular while the engine isn't running.

I have always enjoyed high end audio reproduction and think the Bose system in my c4s is a flabby mess. It just sucks. If you have to chose, get the pse.
Seriously, for $125k, the audio should just about tickle the hairs on my @ss.

The PSE audio system is the best. The other system (coming out of speakers) is secondary unless you're at less than 2000 rpm. It ain't Carnegie Hall in there. Base or Bose is plenty.

I got PSE and Burmester. On long trips Burmester really works great!
