Just reset the Intermediate Service on my 2013 C4 with a iCarsoft PORII from Amazon. The first time in my 71 years I ever did anything electronically to a vehicle. Piece of cake!

You can get the POR-II kit here

http://www.diagnostic-world.com/page...5&p=111381.cfm

We just done this ourselves and made a video showing how easy it is to do it with this kit

Interesting that the oil interval is 20K miles.

Can the device change this interval like the Porsche Company computer?

Thanks for showing us this unit.

One's going to be in my hands soon I do believe.

Does anyone know the difference between the "Standard" and "Bundle" iCarsoft i960 POR II?

I purchased one and eventually was able to reset the oil service light.

The manual, however, is horrible. It took me a lot of time searching videos and write ups to get the device updated -- they could make so much easier. Then, my version's software and sequencing was different from the video above (which is the one I found most helpful). Honestly, it made me a bit nervous putzing around with the car's electronics/programming.

I don't think the 960 was intentionally made to reset the maintenance light, but they may have updated it with software. The POR II does and has the ability to update the software for additional features later.

I wish someone would make a video with narration showing all its capabilities (Diagnostic World?). But thanks for this one, as the instructions that come neatly bound with the package, I found near worthless. I too was concerned I would hit the wrong button and do damage.

this is weird. My X431R works great for resetting the service and oil change on my 2015 Cayenne Diesel, but even though it says it reset the 2013 C2S when I went through the motions, it does not appear to work on it. Seems like it should work on the older car. Also, after a year, I finally got around to programming the garage door opener though!

I wanted to verify that the Durametric tool worked for me to reset the service intervals on a 2015 991.1 GT3. I did have to upgrade to the latest version 6.5.5.9( from July 2018). With respect to the car, I had no CEL type messages but I did have a "Service Now" that finally hit based on the oil change date. It was slowly counting down from 20 days or so and it finally expired.

I changed the oil/filter myself. When I tried originally, the Durametric tool did not work so I checked the website with the version info:

http://www.durametric.com/versionhistory.aspx

I realized that I needed to upgrade since I was running 6.5.4.8(from September 2017). It also seemed like they had fixed a bunch of stuff for the 991 in the newer code.

Once I upgraded and logged into the car, it was a slightly different with the new software since it now asked me to chose if the car had PDK and there was also a choice for Sport Chrono. The software upgrade did the trick and I was able to reset the service intervals. It did not ask me for a date like some of the other tools I have seen online but it took the install month and just used that to set the future expire date.

Not sure why satch99 got 20K for the next oil change. I used my POR-II on my 991.1 and got 10K.

Probably because he reset the service interval instead of the oil change interval.

If that were the case, it would say "Interim Service 20,000 miles"
