fyi, I do have Entry and Drive, not sure if that makes a difference.

I have a 2013 C4S with keyless entry and I have the same problem as the OP. Tried storing a/c or fan "off" into the key. If I lock the car and unlock, or even just press "3" to recall the key settings, the fan come back on.

It's obvious the fan-off setting is NOT stored into the key when a immediate "3" recall will bring the fan back on.

Are Hammer911 and trysixty saying that they don't have this issue? I thought this is hard-coded as the OP said.

I also can not get the fan off with the key setting. Tried storing it to the key while the car is running or even with just the ignition on but is not possible. Once I restart the car after locking and unlocking, the fan is on again.

Hammer,
I've tried that too. Maybe it is the Entry and Drive that might be the problem.

I'll have to get in my car and fiddle with the settings to see how I got there. Regarding DKC64's comment...I never touch the 1, 2 or 3 setting buttons since I originally set to the keys.

I picked up my car a month ago. Anyone fix this issue? I've tried everything to my knowledge so far.

There's nothing to fix because nothing is broken. This is they way it's setup to function.

Been there, tried that, and it does not work, and nothing works since as LexVan said it is as intended.

Here's the Porsche NA official reply to the OP's question after I asked them the question that the OP is asking.

There's a prior thread on this issue that covered the same ground.

Of interest, we've had quite a bit of rain here in Florida the last several days and I've been driving my car through some of it. The front windshield seems to fog up more that my other vehicles, maybe due to the fact that there is no engine heat in the front of the car and moisture may remain there longer.

So Porsche designed the extra ventilation in to cope with the excess moisture. That's my theory.

Mr. *****,

Thank you for emailing Porsche Cars North America regarding your new 2019 911 Carrera 4S, congratulations on your recent purchase!

The A/C system will not allow you to store "off" as a setting, as it assists with the ventilation of the cabin and was designed to help prevent the windows from fogging. While I understand that this may not be the answer you were seeking, I want to assure you that your feedback is valued. The comments from our owners are of the utmost importance to us and we appreciate the time you took to share your experience with us.

Mr. *****, thank you for providing us the opportunity to respond. Wish you many happy and safe miles!

Kind Regards,
