Used 991's
I know its only been a few months since they came out, but has anyone seen any used 991's and how much reduced they are compared to new. Just figuring out if l should buy new or just wait a a little while longer until they come on the market.

I have one right now I'd give away for a great price...bet it's missing required goodies though. Barrier in Seattle has a couple I believe...good luck with your search!

About $10,000 to $12,000 (under 4000 miles) depending on what city.
|
Weissach in Vancouver has a few.

10k off, 175 miles. http://rpmsportscars.com/door4.htm
|
Also depends on if it's a 991 base or S.
There seems to me a slightly larger percentage discount on the base models. From what I've seen, because a lot of these cars are quite heavily optioned the prices are all over the place. For instance I have seen MT's going for more than similarly optioned PDK's, even though PDK is a $4000+ option. Probably have a wait a little while for prices and supply to stabilize. |

How does one go abt findi g these cars? Is there a central website to search?
|
No. Try a combination of local Porsche dealer sites, cars.com, eBay, and a shot of Scotch. Up to $14000 discount off MSRP is possible but 10 to 12 is more realistic unless you have mad skills at negotiation. Also walk into your local dealers. Sometimes their staffs are not good about putting their stock on the Internet.

OP G/L with your search. I hope you find "the one." |
I've been following Base models on the lower end of the MSRP market (high $80's/low $90's MSRP cars). Best Used deals on those I've found used lately have been low-low $80's (Base, minimal options, low mileage, though I have seen one well equipped for a steal, almost made me wonder if it was a misprint).
I'd like to think that prices will come down a bit further as the '13's get off the lot, and discounts get applied to them, especially during Holidays.... so when I'm ready for mine, I don't have to pay up the yin yang. :D |
