Quiet and Comfortable

One major area of improvement in the 991 is in compliance on less than perfect surfaces. I just followed a 997.1 C4S down a challenging moorland road and he was being thrown around something terrible. Sat behind, my 991 just calmly ate up the road and could have chewed up the 997 for good measure if I were that way inclined (I'm not) and if there had been safe overtaking opportunities. So much more composed.

The replies have been much appreciated. I don't race and I'm old and have a wife that likes comfort.. I make trips from CA to NM and CO where my brother/sisters live and would love to take my future Carerra (And I don't want to take the Lexus..I want to take a Carrera. Call me crazy..).
I wonder if stretching myself financially for a 991 vs a 997.2 will be worth it in the end. I'm wondering if I'll be beat up at the end of a 1000K+ mile drive in a 997.2... I know test driving will not give me this info. I will continue to read more on folks' 997.2 vs 991 long trip threads.
Thanks again..

This is my first Pcar. No reference point. I'm an old guy (61). Was on a weekend trip last week and all I can offer about the past is I would NOT want anymore road noise than the current 991. Seems perfect mix for sport and comfort.
