Eduardo, do you have any additional interior pics of the Boxster in post 468? I haven't been able to find many pics of the deviated leather options that are available for MY15 991s (only seat inserts and door armrests), and that Boxster appears to be pretty close to what's currently available.

You are welcome!

On a different topic, here is a beautiful PTS 991S in 'Riviera Blue' in attendance at the R Gruppe Treffen in Cambria CA last weekend - with its 'old' Oct 2013 European Delivery plates for show! 'Riviera Blue' is still one of the most striking PTS colors you can order on a modern Porsche!

Yes, it is.
Yes, it's a European spec vehicle. The gt2 type sport bucket seat is still an option in ROW on both the 991 & 981! Pas nous.

Exact same story from my dealer yesterday (non-PTS car). Apparently, the Q4 allocations are tiny. My guy has been selling Porsches for about 25 years and he's speculating (only speculating) from experience that MY15 may be a short model year and that the MY16 facelift may be coming sooner than we thought. I'm almost certainly going to delay my build until early next year now.

If you gonna use inspirations then how about Gemballa Orange? Eduardo someone over in a UK forum was inquiring about this colour a few days ago, i did point them towards you & this thread. Anyhow as far as I know its not a Porsche colour, any ideas about this colour from 2006 Gemballa Evo 650?

I asked for a feasability check on Tangerine/Blutorange (018) for a 991 GT3 in 6/13 and was eventually turned down. I was told it was a color that could not be successfully done as a two stage system. Whether or not Porsche could have come up with something close such as this Gemballa color did not occur to me at the time. Certainly a sample could be sent to Porsche for testing.

As an aside, there is some 'talk' over at the 991 gt3 forum that 'Tangerine' / 'Blutorange' is going to appear as a special color offering on the MY2015 991 gt3 RS. I'll post more on this interesting 'speculation' on this thread shortly.

Well if true then perhaps I was turned down for reasons other than technical? Certainly if Porsche can do Pastel Orange (017) and Gulf Orange (019) as PTS why not Tangerine/Blutorange (018)?

Is there hope for 'Tangerine' / 'Blutorange' as a PTS color in the future?

Then others at the 991 gt3 forum more recently started talking about rumors of 'Blood Orange' as a special color to be offered on the RS:
"Reter...so your 'burnt orange' has now morphed into 'Blood Orange'? Good, because that color has real possibilities to be seen on the 991 gt3 RS!
Blutorange / Tangerine: Here is an interesting side story on this color and PTS. I got an email over one year ago from a Rennlister (David C.) in Florida that requested assistance in helping him get Porsche to approve 'Blutorange' or 'Tangerine' as a PTS color. That beautiful color is a vintage & historic early 911 long-hood hue which had color code 018 back in its day! He mentioned to me that this 'Tangerine' color had been ordered by Brumos as a PTS in the 997/987 era. That is all we had to go on. I contacted someone I knew at 'Porsche Exclusive' in Germany & made inquiries. Sure enough, this bright fellow in Germany was able to find a sample color chip (attached photo #1) from the Brumos PTS and suggested that it be requested again so that it could be tested to determine its feasibility for PTS the 991/981. Just because it was used before for PTS (e.g. in past decade) does not mean the color would be automatically approved for the newer models...due to different paint formulations (PAG switched to DuPont) or other variables (new metals/plastics used).
David C. indeed tried to get PAG to approve that color for PTS via his dealer! It shows up on the 1/23/2014 PTS list. But it was 'rejected' (see photo #2). But all of the talk here re: rumors of 'Blood Orange' as one of the colors for the MY2015 gt3 RS leads me to think that the color was actually approved by PAG...but it's being reserved exclusively (at first) for the 991 gt3 RS!
We will soon know! Hopefully at Paris...or even before!"
If indeed 'Tangerine'/'Blutorange' color code 018 appears as a special color for the MY2015 gt3 RS, it will be only a question of time before it is allowed to be ordered as a PTS color on all custom 991/981 in a few years time!

I'm starting to plan my Porsche purchase and this has been an interesting and informative thread.
The PTS color pdf's are useful, but I'm wondering if there is something that shows that list that includes actual samples of what each one looks like? ie, a color sample block, or even better, an image of a vehicle in that color.
Thanks
Bill
