As you saw on the beautiful 'Gulf Blue' Spyder of Targa75,
the option is available via 'Porsche Exclusive' in Europe as
a CXX. With the proper push (or shove!), it would not
surprise me if a US or Canada customer could get it ordered
on his custom .2 991 or 718.

Read more about how Targa75 was able to order this option:

https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...l#post12879917

https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...lue-cloud.html

When dealing with 'Porsche Exclusive' in the US, it pays to
know if precedent has been set for what you want in other
markets (e.g. Europe) & then push hard for what you want!
In this case, we know of several cases where these 'Pepita'
inlays have been allowed. So press to your advantage!

Eduardo

Eduardo is right. Never take NO for an answer and keep pressing. I got pepita inserts in the LWB seats of my Gulf Blue Boxster Spyder as well as in the sofa seats in my 991.2 Turbo S which is arriving in a few weeks.

I'm just a first time Porsche buyer, a base model Carrera at that, I have no pull/history with them. Seems as though those that have success have a bit more cachet than this first time buyer might bring..... (although I will try again)

One more question - does anyone know if the memory package on adaptive seats also control the orientation of the map on PCM?? Why would I ask this question: my wife likes the map facing north; I like the map facing in the direction of the car! Thanks!

Just ordered C4SC with just about everything but only minor Exclusive touches: deviated stitching. Based on my experience at Hennessy Porsche in Atlanta, virtually everything can be customized, including endless array of seat inlays. But, once you customize the interior (inlays and dash), whatever you started with becomes irrelevant. For example, if you start with a two-toned interior like Natural Espresso/Cognac and then apply a seat inlay, you would need to customize everything else as it will remove the initial two-tone interior selection.

December delivery.

I'm in the process of ordering a paint-to-sample Porsche and the dealer is saying that they can't start the build until January (4 months from now). Does anyone know if this is a Porsche thing or a dealer thing? In other words, might another dealer be able to get the car made earlier? This dealer is saying it would be the same no matter where I went, but I thought I should ask the "experts". Thanks!

It's a Porsche thing... they only have certain slots for PTS

Depends on what allocation your dealer has for
a particular model & if PAG has its 'PTS Window'
open or closed for that model. When in doubt,
go direct to the 'Porsche Exclusive' representative
in Atlanta or Beverly Hills & ask them point blank!

Default Just in case anyone here might be interested...

I am working on getting a 911R & might
have to part with my 991 gt3 to be able
to afford that model. This is one of only
ten PTS 'Signal Green' gt3s built in late
'15 production after a PTS moratorium
was declared in early Fall of 2014 by PAG
effecting all remaining 991 gt3 to be built!

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...grey-gt3s.html

With no PTS gt3s built for MY2016 & very
few PTS gt3's built for MY2014, this 'Signal
Green' '15 is a rare bird in 991 gt3 circles!
And this particular car of mine is a low miles
example that has not yet been 'broken-in'.
Thus it has never been revved past 4500 rpm,
much less hit its unique 9000 rpm limit! So
no track events...just a few outings around
the neighborhood! This car, with just 705
miles (of which the first 15 or so were put
there by PAG), is the closest thing you will
find in the market to a brand new PTS 991
gt3 for sale...and it's the very rare & desirable
'Signal Green' color!

With the arrival of the RS, the 991 gt3 has
been pushed into the background here at
Rennlist. That is too bad because the base
gt3 continues to be the best looking gt car
in the current line-up! I was fortunate to
have driven a friend's 991 gt3 for over
1600 miles at a recent Porsche tour of
'West Texas' & I can tell you the 991 gt3
is the most exciting Porsche I have ever
driven in my life! And only the 911R
would prompt me to giving it up. Folks
here are speculating about the .2 991 gt3
& that is all fine & good. But if you want
PTS & think 'Signal Green' is a stunning
color (like I do), I would suggest that it
might make sense to look into buying
this one as a hedge against the 'unknown'
future of PTS & the end of naturally-aspirated
Porsche gt3s! So caveat emptor.

For those that didn't follow the story of these
10 'Signal Green' gt3's here on Rennlist, all of
them were specced the same by PAG/PCNA &
were 'not changeable' by the few lucky
dealers in the US that got an allocation. Only
two dealers were able to add PCCB to their build.
Otherwise, all 10 late allocation '15 991 gt3s in
'Signal Green' were identical! Here is the spec
of my car:

*******************
To my knowledge, the last of these rare 'Signal Green'
gt3s that came up for sale was at $225K. And that one
had 1562 'hard miles' put in demo track rides for IMSA's
car events by professional drivers!

*******
Asking Price is $188,991. In-Service Date for my car is May 16, 2015.
The car is located at my home in North Scottsdale, Arizona. For more
information, please contact me via email at: <venegas356@gmail.com>.

That is beautiful. I am not in the market for another pcar at the moment, but I'd love to see that in person- you gonna have that thing at any of the local pca events coming up?

The default color for almost anything related to a
LtS order is 'black'. So 'black' trim (where it would
be colored-coordinated normally). And in the past,
it was a 'black' leather steering wheel too when you
order LtS.

But you can option a deviating color or deviating
stitching at additional cost.

But best to double-check with 'Porsche Exclusive'
personnel in Atlanta, Los Angeles or Germany as
to current practice with LtS at PAG.

LtS is pretty rare & we almost never see it here
on Rennlist. Few customers even know that it's
something PAG can do on any custom order. And
most dealers shy away from doing something this
'unique' on a spec.

Good luck with your LTS order. What color are you
thinking of doing?
