Holy cow dude! You did it right. Incredible.

I was thinking that if you posted a pic of your sticker, it'd give the rest of us a guide to all your option codes. It'll be the Oxford Dictionary of Porsche deviating stitching!

nice job henry! could you post your codes? this is exactly what i wanted confirmed by my dealership re: deviated stitch but was not able to obtain.

If henry isn't able to post his details, you can use this link to a post that lists most of his options with the appropriate codes: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-turb...available.html

options list

I can post the list later, but I advise those that wants deviating stitching to spec ALL the options possible and consider each one, then subtract. That is best way to not regret missing anything. The SA should be able to help you with the dealer's configurator version.

thats what i tried initially and they weren't able to confirm if everything was going to be deviated...AFAIC thats a huge miss on their part.

After 3 years of planning, I am pretty sure I know almost every option and detail, feel free to ask me. Plus I visitted Porsche Exclusive in Zuffenhausen to clarify anything I was unsure about. Although I am just a Minion in Eduardo's shadow. Ignore the $CDN amounts.

SORRY, DON'T KNOW HOW TO ROTATE IT!

'Signal Green' gt3 before it leaves dealer...

These photos are courtesy of a talented photographer at Porsche of Beachwood and salesman Brad Kennett who arranged it.

These are staged shots with filters & special camera lenses. In person & to the human eye, the color will be a lot more 'tame'...if a bright green Porsche gt3 can ever be called that!

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...54fabf9cee.png

It's formulation '22S' of 'Signal Green', the only 'Signal Green' currently approved for PTS. There are from at least two other versions of 'Signal Green' ('w25' & '217') that have been done historically at PAG. Since I have an original factory painted panel from my old 2007 PTS 'Signal Green' 997S (which was 'w25' color code), we will be able to compare at least these versions of 'Signal Green' shortly! The gt3 is expected to arrive out West at my home this weekend. I will provide more information on it next week.

The full story of these few 'Signal Green' PTS gt3 (as well as the other PTS in 'Arena Red Metallic' & 'Fashion Grey / Modegrau') can be found at the link below:

Could one of the colour experts comment on the name/code for the default display colour on the online configurater (sp) when clicking last right hand box under 'Exterior Paint to Sample–Metallic' ? Thanks

Marko: The resident 'colour expert' is on sabbatical and I am holding the fort. If you are referring to this illustration from the configurator:

https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...b5cc600c02.png

It doesn't mean much. It's just a generic metallic color to represent a PTS possibility. Think of it as 'Arena Red Metallic' (color code 84S) of which you will be seeing a few shortly as some late allocation US gt3s were specced in this somewhat rare color.

Eduardo; thanks for your time as always. I was straining to compliment you as the resident expert on all things “special; but I wasn’t very eloquent. ;) My lock date is close, & I’ve not made one change in 9 weeks. Now I’ll stay off Porsche site in order to remain blissfully ignorant. :roflmao: Your extensive notes (printed in a binder) have been my single essential tool when ‘discussing’ options with the nice folks at PCNA. Hope your (all Renn-listers) long weekend holiday has been safe & enjoyable. Best regards, sir; Marko

I'm still surprised at how quickly they made Lava Orange a not-so-special-only-on-the-new-GT3-RS color.

Agreed. PAG seems determined to screw up when it comes to exterior paint.

OK, for my next post on this thread, perhaps we can make a bit of internet news! I will reveal the photos of the new 'AMBER ORANGE' leather interior color scheduled now for production on the 981 (and perhaps optional in the 991 in the future?) soon to hit our shores! See attached photos below. I have yet to see a finished car done with this interior. If any of you have, please provide us with a link!

The name 'Amber Orange' is a bit deceiving. I would consider it almost a member of the 'brown' family of colors, just brighter but with a decidedly hint of an 'orangy' overtone! This will be available for the 981 in what the configurator calls a 'two-tone' color combination, in conjunction only with 'Agate Grey' leather. PAG calls this type of offering a 'Leder Bicolor' and it translates to English as 'Leather bicolor'. More importantly, this BiColor combination will sport a very significant 'orange' deviating color stitching on the 'Agate Grey' leather dash and top door panels which will be very striking and noticeable! I urge you all to go to the PCNA website and 'built your own' 981 in this color combination with 3D! It is absolutely stunning!

It is also very reasonably priced and includes the extra deviating stitching (normally over $1000 of extra costs if ordered 'a la carte'). I will talk more about all the 'two-tone' interior combinations in an upcoming post on this thread. To me, these 'Bicolors' are the most interesting offerings currently available from Porsche on the new 981 and 991 models! The trick is to match them correctly to an exterior color! But for today, I wanted all of you to see for yourselves what 'Amber Orange' looks like!

Although this new 'Amber Orange' color is initially offered only on the 981, I believe that this leather color MIGHT be available for mix & match into panels in the 991, but only by special request! And perhaps a similar 'BiColor Leder' option with 'Agate Grey' leather may be offered on the 991 in the future. That is why I am also posting this information on these 991 forums so you are aware of this 'new' leather color choice from Porsche.

I took these pictures at the Salt Lake City PCA Parade which just concluded less than two weeks ago! They were graciously shown to me by Sascha Glaeser who is 'Manager, Customer Consultation', for 'Porsche Exclusive' in the US. A few preliminary words about Sascha Glaeser. He is based in Los Angeles. His assistant, Melissa Witek, is based in New York. In future posts, I will describe in greater detail all the good work they are both doing to liven up our cars via the exquisite offerings of 'Porsche Exclusive'! PAG has assigned Sascha to the US after working for 'Porsche Exclusive' in Germany. 'Beautiful Melissa', as I like to call her, was hired here in the States. They work with both US dealers and individuals to educate them on the various possibilities open to North American customers of Porsche via 'Porsche Exclusive'. I hope the information on my thread will make all of you better informed so that when you finally talk to either Sascha or Melissa on your prospective orders and make those conversations more productive!

I personally want to thank Sascha for all the time he spent with me in Salt Lake City (and previously helping me with my custom ordered Aqua Blue/Carrera Red MY2012 Spyder). Without his help, I would have very little to share with you on this forum!

Wow that is one wild Orange! Pair it up with Birch Green in a Cabriolet to get quite an "Gawker's" Effect. Just drive the car at the speed limit and don't do too much lane changing otherwise one might end up with some sort of ticket!

Tacet-Conundrum 05-30-2015 09:54 AM

Off topic... So what is it about $5,100 for full deviated stitching per the previous Window Sticker?
