Mine has now been in RI for 10 days and my dealer is only about 80 miles away from the port. Thet still do not know when it will be released from the port. It took 4 days to build the car and it will be over 10 days to get ti from the port in RI to a dealer in NH.

That is ridiculous. They usually work 24/7 off loading the boats, then process within a couple days and transport to dealer. I've had dealers go to port with flatbeds to pick up before to expedite, but I think PCNA locks them out now and runs transport zig-zag across the region, so you are at their mercy.
Bummer. I would think you'd have the car by next weekend though.

I am not alone in this. My dealer has 18 cars at the port and 6 are sold, cudtomers cars. An that does not include the 4 cabs that they have there being held!
Definately not the model of German effeciency!

this isn't good news... mine docks on the 14th... hopefully they start moving some stuff, i know cab's are held till 21st but move the rest!.
i was hoping 3-5 days customs/port and then 1 day to dealer.
i heard the trucking is silly now to save money, dealers can't forcefully jump the line w/ their own transport.

Sometimes you luck out. Sometimes you don't. I recall when mine arrived. Porsche dictated a mandatory halt to shipment until all could be counted. Held up shipments for weeks.

I have a coupe that's been stuck in Rhode Island for 12 days and still does not appear to be on a transport. No Porsche hold, just can't seem to get it on a truck. I did read in the WSJ that there is a shortage of car carriers in this country due to the recession, not sure if there's a connection between the two, but whatever the reason, it's been a longer wait than I thought it would be.

My car has been on the ground as well. Yesterday my dealer told me that Porsche is holding the stick shifts and Cabs. He thought my car would be released this Friday.

Congrats 19th hole! My dealer said today that they have no information on status other than it is still PDIMON, but that in the past, it could be shown with that status and then pull into the lot. Mine is a manual, so if the manuals and cabs are on hold, that would explain the delay.
