Not even a GT3 vs GTR comparo, I think the 991 "wins" ... anyway, my biases aside, it's a fun video and another win for Evo. Is there any other car mag?

I agree the 991 wins, it's down by almost 150 HP and loses by a couple of seconds.
The last comment on the video says it all, he prefers the Porsche.
Would love to see the same comparison against a 991 GT3 or 991 Turbo but we'll have to wait a while for that.

The 991's longevity with continued quality performance will last 10x as long as the GTR and requires less $$ over the term on consumables. I don't think you could ever put a price on that. You may pay more for a Porsche but it will still be around 45 years later.

Don't forget that was just one lap - over say 10-20 laps, the piggish video game car would start overheating its brakes and tranny and the gap would close.

Probably close, it would need at least new pads, rotors, tires, transmission fluid flush. If your lucky you can get another 20 laps with the transmission.

I had a GTR and they are built very well. Far easier than the 991 to work on hands down. Dont have to tear the rear of the car off to change the oil. Ceramic brakes aren't an option on the Nissan. There is no mention of brake fade nor overheating to any extent that people overhype here on the forum and elsewhere. There is no way in hell the 991 is cheaper to work on and repair, so keep smoking whatever it is you are toking on. Seriously.
Referred to as the "game car", you can drive a Porsche on PS3 also, and as far as electronic nannies----the 911, especially a turbo, would be far more undriveable than the Nissan without computers controlling it. Traction control, electronic suspension, vector control, stability control, just to name a few, even electric steering. Seriously, I LOVE the 991, but lets stop BSing about the Nissan. It plain works sorry. The GTR is obviously formidable, because everyone is trying to bash it so obviously something great about it. It is rough around the edges but an EXCELLENT car.
Just be fair. I am glad the 991 performed well but lets not "run with it".. The Porsche tax will always be more than the Nissan tax. The same 4500 dollar muffler system is 9000 for a Porsche. Need more examples?
