Default Front plate

I bought a ‘17 GTS with sport design front end. My state requires front plates and the car doesn’t have a bracket installed. What are people using to avoid drilling the front bumper cover for a bracket? Appreciate any guidance on this.

thank you.

Rennline tow hook receiver

Will not work on 991's with parking sensors.

If you worry about such things, tow hook solution is the way.
That being said, you can likely get away without one in NJ with so many Pennsylvania cars on the road. Just be sure to have one by the time inspection rolls around.

I keep my second plate in the car in DC. If I get stopped I’ll just say, “the bracket is back ordered”…and me being a bland middle aged bureaucrat…they believe me and let me go.

I have had these for 5 years since the day I took delivery of my car (which has parking sensors)... Highly recommend:

If I were to have one all the time my preference would be to mount them centered to the car. So I like bkrantz solution.
If I were to have a quick way to put on and off with the least amount of effort, my preference would be to use magnets glued to the backside of the bumper as some have done here. proven to stay on 100 mph as some proved in theirs.

PSA - to those that put their license plates wedged on their windshields, please dont. In a car crash that becomes a projectile to your face. Not worth the $10 ticket youre trying to avoid.

Plenty of DIY on You Tube and on RL. Modify to suit your needs. Examples to give you an idea:

I’m in New Jersey and use the Skene (skenebrackets.com) bracket up front. Still holding tight after 3 years.
