One thing I love is that you can get the Burmester audio rig (previously only in Panamera, I believe)...though the $5K upcharge will limit that option to serious 'philes!

No Ducktail in the U S if ever. Hope they bring it with some 20" Fuchs.

It'll be interesting to see the U.S. spec rear bumper. Don't forget we have to have the "boobies."
I'm okay with the skinnier tail-lights, but I don't much like the reflectors now being separate from the tail-lights, especially put down on the lower bumper like that. Looks very un-Porsche to me. Generally, the car is a knockout!

I don't think so. There are photos circulating of US spec cars without them. That, and a very well informed Rennlister has stated that they are a thing of the past (see the "Bumperettes gone?" thread).

Looking back at my post I know I mis-worded it. Didn't mean if ever. Hope they will do the Fuchs though. If not I'm certain we can source both options aftermarket.

Ducktail is definitely a go for Canada so I don't know why it wouldn't be for the US. Fuch-style wheels are Techquipment up here. $9,000 or so though...

That ducktail is cool. If it is available in Canada and not in the US, surely someone will buy them for aftersales installations. One way or another, we will get them here!

I just took a look at the two configurators back-to-back...tons of stuff missing from the US one. I'm sure it just isn't fully functional yet or they just want to display the stuff that's immediately available on launch cars to avoid the complaining and legal crap in the US.

Don't worry about the things you don't like--they'll fix it at the face lift scheduled for 2016...

Yeah, what my east coast topless brother said!!!

While I do feel the same, objectively, the 991 is a beautiful car (maybe not to me but still . . . ) and I can easily understand all the excitement! But to steal a line and paraphrase from the screenwriter of Twilight, "Oh my God, it's like kindergarten all over again and the 991 is the shiny new toy!"

Hard to believe that Dan's and my car are the same color! (Light apparently does funny things w/ flat paint)
