I agree. And, I really like J-Lo from the rear. Not so much this car, tho.
I'll have to see this in better color and less camo, too. I'm coming off a lease in 9 months. But, don't think this car will break cover in that time. I'm very interested in the new Turbo. I initially tho't it was much bigger than the present 997. But, I guess it just has a longer wheel base with shorter over hangs compared with the present car. IF so ... I'd be interested in a new ride. Maybe .... maybe .... ??

Not really feeling compelled to change by what I've seen so far. I'm sure performance will be better, but not feeling the love for the proportion changes. Never know until you see it in the flesh, but given the Panamera can't really count on Porsche's aesthetic sense.

The narrative cracks me up. The car is "unmistakably a 911".
If it's so iconic, why did they have to plaster
P O R S C H E 911 Carrera S across the rear decklid?
What's next? P O R S C H E 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet?
The branding has really gotten out of control. At least nobody will be confused now.

On wheel size I bet 21's will be an option.
My dealer offers 22's on the panny! Great biz for wheel repair shops.

A key point about wheel size people keep overlooking is as Porsche has increased wheel diameter from 18" (996) to 19" (997) and now 20" (991) they have kept the SAME aspect ratios which means the sidewall heights have remained the same and the overall tire diameters have increased by an inch in each case. The vehicles have been designed with this increased tire diameter in mind, but at 27" overall on the 991, I think they've hit a practical maximum!
There are however, no real performance advantages gained by this trend and several clear disadvantages - this is clearly styling driven (but I do admit like'n it)!

I just cant believe 20's on standard and not an option. I'd would like to choose. I wonder what those 20's will weigh. 30-32lbs???
