Anyone knows what causes these kinds of damage?
Hi folks! I hope everyone is doing well during this unprecedented time.
I just got pictures of the underneath of the 991.1 base with about 25k miles, and curious what causes these kinds of damage.
This is part of a subframe of the rear upper suspension, and it has a deep scratch on it.
I saw lots of wheel scratches on the outside of the rims but never saw the damage on the inside of the wheel.
I would much appreciate it if you can share any thoughts. Thanks!

Is that massive wheel rash all the way around the inside edge of the rim I am seeing as well? If so, then it would appear the back of that car may have jumped a curb at some point, or slipped off the edge of a road surface with a dropped off shoulder

The sub-frame damage appears to be from an inadequate support mechanism. And the wheel damage may be from the track on a drive-through car wash.

Car wash was my exact first thought as well.

Did you run off the road at some point.
I dropped one of my back wheels off the road and have some of the similar scratches.
