The point of this post is that yesterday, as I pulled into my driveway, the proximal object warning went crazy, and when I got out, the driver's headlight was hanging out by the wire connector. WTF? I put it back in using the headlight tool, and looks fine, but it won't give a final click to completely seat it. It will definitely come out again.
So, I tried to take the passenger light out to see when a functioning headlight looks like, and for the life of me, I couldn't get the tool to latch onto a nut.
I know I'm not a great mechanic, but this seems weird.
Anyone know anything about this?
This is the culprit
Can you imagine how pissed I was when the dealer did some work on the headlamp and they didn't re-install it correctly? I touched it and it popped out. They didn't secure it properly. I mean, why pay the Porsche tax for indie junior shop errors?

I just clicked on the link to verify.
My last pic shows a S/S tab with a piece of black rubber heat shrink covering the tab that is held down with a bolt and wing-nut and a removeable clip. Loosen the wing-nut, pivot the tab and the engine release cable and be removed.
I do not see the cable itself breaking. The one in my 1995 993 is still original.

No CEL, no codes at all, just a vibration that has been difficult to diagnose.
Current theory is that it's coming from the engine itself.
Curious if anyone has seen something similar and what the root cause turned out to be.
Thanks
