OP, sorry to hear about the damage and having to go through the process of getting it fixed, seems though you're handling it.... but holy crap are there a bunch of angry folks here LOL
Have had my cars hit 3x while parked - twice in my 335i, once in my 991.1. No notes, $1k deductible for each so $3k out of pocket for me total lol 🤦🏽*♂️ Im always so careful parking as well.
But ive realized that it’s really not worth getting mad over - every time this type of thing happens I just vow to work harder and make even more money so these things can’t bother me - after all it’s just stuff, not health/human lives 😊 Even after my PDK went out and cost me $14k out of pocket I had to remember I’m fortunate to even be in the situation of being able to afford such luxuries without losing sleep over it.
Also surprised at some of the racist posts on this thread; trash people come from all walks of life! The US is a country built upon immigrants (yes, even the white people).

It doesn't matter where you are, it happens. Yesterday, as I was leaving the grocery store, I see someone pull in REAL CLOSE to my 911, it was raining and I knew she would be in a hurry to get out of her car.
I hoofed it to the car, cranked it up w/o the seat belt and moved off.
I don't think building a wall or keeping " 'Murica Great" makes any difference with people that don't care, they come in all variations.

Sadly, you are correct. At best, some people can care when they make the effort.
And "I didn't mean to do it" is not the same as "I meant not to do it".
